I am a semi-retired advertising executive and my wife is a part time fine arts teacher. We currently live in Dallas, but are originally from the west coast. We enjoy art, architecture, music, golf, yoga, biking... We have been married 25 years and have two college-aged daughters.

The Villages at Mauna Lani is a gated community within the Mauna Lani resort property on the Kohala Coast of Hawaii. The Kohala coast is world renowned for it's sunny and dry climate. In fact it is the sunniest spot in all of Hawaii. Mauna Lani is one of the oldest and most beautiful resorts on the big island. It features two 18 hole golf courses, some of the best snorkeling and diving in all of Hawaii and a private beach that is shallow enough and calm enough for children and/or seniors. Mauna Lani also features a network of ancient Hawaiian fish ponds that were used as a spiritual retreat for the Hawaiian Royalty. These ponds are still intact today and are considered sacred ground. There are walking trails throughout them so you can experience the peace and tranquility much as the Hawaiians of old did. There are also numerous petro glyphs carved into lava caves left by the ancient Hawaiians that are still visible today on the many hiking trails along the coast. It is a place of amazing natural beauty and tranquility as well as historical significance. Two of the best beaches in the world (Hapuna and Mauna Kea) are five minutes away.
