Year Purchased: 2002
We have lived in Florida for over 30 years, and are so fortunate to live in an area where many tourists come to experience our beautiful beaches. While our four children were growing up, they enjoyed water skiing, snorkeling, sailing, and living in our tropical climate. We decided years ago, that when we vacationed, we wanted to experience a completely different climate, and the many adventurous wintertime sports. We began snow skiing many years ago, and loved our trips to the Rocky Mountains ! We now look forward to taking our grandchildren to some of the same places our children loved while growing up.
Why the Owner Chose Grand Timber Lodge
As we began to look at places to visit annually, we chose Breckenridge - a charming, family friendly Victorian town that offers a variety of wintertime sports. Snow skiers will love the varied terrain for beginner and advanced skiers, and horse drawn sleigh rides, snowmobiles, and ice skating are also sports to be enjoyed there. It is also enjoyable to stroll through the lighted town of Breckenridge, which is surrounded by snow capped mountains, and visit many delicious restaurants, art galleries, historical museums, and numerous gift and ski shops.

While on vacation, it is so enjoyable to stay in a 5 star resort like Grand Timber Lodge, one of Colorado's finest ski in/ski out resorts. The rooms are spacious, the kitchen is fully equipped, and the lodge is just a short walk from downtown Breckenridge. After snow skiing, it is so relaxing to enjoy the many amenities available at the beautiful Lodge: the Grand Victorian Day Spa, where we often go for massages (!), hot tubs, pools, sauna, an exercise room, and a courtesy shuttle that takes you into town, or to the many ski slopes in the area. We have a family tradition to ski until the lifts close, and meet at the Lodgepole Bar and Grill at the bottom of the slopes for appetizers and drinks or hot cocoa.
