  The apartment itself was exactly what we needed and the views from the roof terrace (when the fog cooperated) were stunning! Comfortable beds, great shower, great roof terrace to sit outside and enjoy the view/weather. The location was also incredibly convenient. Buses are accessible on the street and just a 5 minute walk away depending on where you want to get to and it was very simple to get to all the areas of the city we wanted to visit. The marina was also within 5 minutes walk offering a grocery store and a great place to go for a run along the water. It was really nice to be far enough away from the touristy areas to avoid the noise and crowds, but close enough to be able to get there in a short walk or bus ride. Overall we had a great time at this property, and the owner was easy to contact and great to deal with! We would definately recommend this property to people looking to visit San Francisco!

  Our family of four (including two teenage boys over 6' tall each) were really happy in this rental over spring break. The beds are very comfortable (and we heard no complaints about the sleeper sofa), the location is close to the bus line for getting to other parts of the city, and the condo is close to a great neighborhood of shops and restaurants (check out The Grove for breakfast and Pizza Orgasmica for late night slices). The shower has great water pressure and hot water, and the kitchen is small but very well appointed. We enjoyed walking to Fisherman's Wharf and beyond (the Alcatraz Ferry landing), and one night we walked to the local movie theater for a first-run movie. We were always glad to come back to a comfortable and QUIET place to sleep. We did not have a car during our stay, and only took a cab to and from the airport. We did not mind going up and down a few flights of stairs, because there was no unit above us. You can't go wrong staying here.

  My wife and I stayed here for about 10 days in May while she was getting a Yoga certification at the Yoga Garden. The place was immaculate, everything we wanted/needed was available in the unit. It is about a 5 minute walk to great shopping and restaurants. The owner is terrific and very responsive. We had ZERO problems. Oh...and the roof deck is really cool...great views of the bay, the GG Bridge, Palace of Fine Arts, etc. The only drawback, but we knew it going in, is parking. Finding a parking space on the street can be challenging on weekend nights. Hardly a complaint, just something to be aware of. I'm not one for long reviews, but the best compliment is repeat business...we are going back to San Fran in November and are spending 5 more days at this unit.

  My husband, I, our adult son and his girl friend stayed here for a week and had the best time. The first thing that made us decide on this property was .... customer service. The owner were prompt, accurate, friendly, very informative. Responded immediately to any concerns or questions. The apartment had everything you need for your stay and the beds were very comfortable. We were within walking distance to almost everything. Unfortunately we didn't have time to enjoy the rooftop deck but the view was certainly awesome. Our son and daughter-in-law and new little granddaughter live in San Francisco and we plan on coming back many times and if we are more than my husband and I we hope that this place is available. We would love to come back. Thank you for sharing this great place with us.

  stayed here for 5 nights in Dec '10, had either 4 or 5 people sleeping in apartment each night (some nights one son stayed with other family in SF). location was very convenient. we kept a car the whole time & usually parked close (exceptions were Fri & Sat night, as Chestnut & Lombard streets - 3-4 blocks south - were nightlife areas and took the "close parking." on Fri & Sat we were about 5 blocks away). driving anywhere in SF - GG Bridge, downtown, Fisherman's Wharf - was a snap. We chose the apartment over taking 2 hotel rooms elsewhere. in every aspect the apartment proved superior - with the exception that with 2 hotel rooms we'd have had 2 bathrooms. this was not a problem for us, tho, as 1/2 of us still woke up on "east coast time." the building was quiet, the apartment clean & well decorated. did not hear the foghorn mentioned in another review owners were very quick to get back with us when we had questions (and we had lots!) would stay there again in a heartbeat!

  My husband and I, with another couple from Canada came down to SF for the first time in Oct 2010 for 7 days. The place was immaculate when we arrived and had all of the ammenities that we required. Safeway and Chestnut are within a short walk and have everything your heart would desire including, shopping, fine foods and great pubs. Fisherman's Wharf, Alcatraz tours, Trolley turn about & Ghirarddelli were all close enough to walk to and took a cab back after hours of exploring. We lucked out by being there during fleet week to enjoy the festivities and to watch the phenomenon of roof parties (which we had never experienced) all around us. The rooftop patio was an incredible vantage point for the airshow with sound barriers being broken around us, as well as viewing Golden Gate & Alcatraz. We had a great experience dealing with the owners with all transactions and communications. Would recommend to anyone...that is not planning on being super rowdy or noisy! Leave your party on Chestnut and all is good :-).

  My son and family, and my husband and myself, rented this unit for a 5 day stay to visit S.F. area early November 2010. It was very accommodating, and comfortable. GREAT location!! The discribtion was right on target. We rented a car for 1 1/2 days, and that was all that was needed for us due to the ease of walking to other site seeing areas. The bus was right there and plenty of restraunts in a few walking blocks. The condo was furnished with anything you would need. Having a full kitchen/w was nice. The beds were comfortable. It was a great stay!

  We stayed in here for 5 nights from Sept. 27 to October 2, 2010 and wanted to clarify some points. First of all beds were comfortable and place was clean. But the actual location is a bit inconvenient, it is 4 blocks to main bus line (#30) and 5 plus blocks to any coffeehouse/restaurant/shops on Chestnut Street; also it is a 1 bedroom unit with the dining room converted to 2nd bedroom; there really is no view until you climb 4th set of stairs to the common roof deck shared by the 6 units in building; the biggest "surprise" of all was how loud the foghorn noise was at night. We were awakened 4 of 5 nights even with windows closed. There is no soundproofing so one should consider bringing earplugs; based on description and then actual experience, we would not wholeheartedly recommend;

  Owner response: Funny how every other guest loves the location, and have had great experiences? Sorry to say, I don't think we could have done anything to make this guest happy, despite our every attempt. There is a Strarbucks about 1 block away? We will have to talk to the SF Harbor-master about the foghorn, right after we speak with Steve Wynn about getting rid of the slot machines in his Las Vegas casinos. We will surely be leery of anymore guests that claim "We are the perfect guests"!!!

  We (two adults and two children) had a wonderful four night stay in this apartment and would happily recommend it to others. It is well located, clean and well maintained, with everything you need for a comfortable stay (including Wifi which I loved!). Booking was very straight forward and owner responses were prompt and helpful. We did have a little trouble parking one night but during the day there was no problem. We used it as a base to explore San Francisco without any difficulty (using taxis after we had dropped the car off). I am happy to recommend the apartment to others, and we really loved San Francisco too!
