This luxury apartment was everything it was claimed to be and more. The condo itself was beautiful and well maintained. The kitchen was very well appointed. Carmen, the liaison, was reliable and helpful. Jimmy, the owner, was a prince of a guy. He had the A/C in the guest room fixed the same day when a relay blew. Each time we had a question, he responded immediately. When we inadvertently put one of the A/C remotes in our luggage as we left, he had a perfect solution. We can't say enough about how well he treated us. As for Palmas del Mar itself, the pool at the compound is absolutely gorgeous, and the hot tub works well too. Neither was at all crowded. The beach is a classic, just a short walk, great swimming. They go a little overboard with safety warnings--our favorite was "Beware of falling coconuts." Although nothing in Palmas is a bargain, everything is high class. We ate at four of the restaurants and they were all very good. The golf was pricey, but the Flamboyan course is one of the best in the Caribbean. The fitness center was also a little pricey, but for us, very important. The outside activities are within easy driving distance. Old San Juan is a great tourist spot, only an hour's drive. The spectacular rain forest El Yunque is less than an hour away--don't miss it. We found a zipline adventure that was lots of fun. To sum up, the best bargain at Palmas del Mar is Jimmy's condo. It was a combination of fun, relaxation, and value.

My wife, two sons (12 and 9), and I just returned from a week's stay at Jaime's apartment at Fairway Courts at Palmas Del Mar. The villa description is accurate - it is spacious (plenty of space for the four of us) and well equipped with lots of kitchen and bathroom supplies, extra pillows, blankets, etc. It is on the second floor (which is convenient for privacy), has a nice terrace for eating and overlooking the pool, and is very safe and secure, as it is a gated community. Fairway Courts is one of over 25 different developments in the Palmas Del Mar resort, and it has its own entrance gate and a pool with a hot tub. The beach (shared by all communities) is a short 5 to 10 minute walk away (or you might consider getting a golf cart, which are very popular at the resort). At the beach we enjoyed wave surfing, but if you prefer calmer waters you might want to walk further up the beach to the left, where it is more protected from the wind, and the waters were much calmer. In fact, if you walk beyond the small peninsula, you will find a series of small and quiet palm-lined sheltered coves. The town of Humacao is around 10 minutes away by car, and it has multiple supermarkets - we shopped at Ralph's and Econo. Palmas del Mar was a good base for our day trips around Puerto Rico - Old San Juan (around 50 minutes away), El Yunque rainforest (50 minutes), Camuy River Cave Park (1 hour 50 minutes). The owner Jaime was very responsive to our questions and helpful, and our deposit was returned very promptly.

"My family of five enjoyed the very clean and comfortable home of Jaime, the pictures are accurate,the villa has a very nice patio were we enjoyed having breakfast and at lunch and evening enjoyed barbecuing,Carmen meeting us at the villa and was very helpful. My $300 deposit was returned quickly threw pay pal. I would definitely refer to family and friend to rent this villa. It was a very safe location with beautiful surroundings

My wife and I can’t say enough about this beautiful accommodation. We stayed for 2 ½ weeks and enjoyed every minute. After a day of excursions it was so nice to come “back to our home away from home”, such a relaxing and quiet villa. The pool and surrounding area was impeccable. We looked forward to our daily walk to the beach to watch the magnificent sunrises. The owner and his wife were fantastic at responding to any questions before and during our stay, replying promptly. We would highly recommend this villa to anyone interested in visiting Peurto Rico. The complex itself is absolutely wonderful and fulfills everything that it boasts of. Enjoy! We hope to return someday in the future and repeat our stay in this villa.

My wife and two kids (ages 10 and 9) and I stayed at this villa in Palmas del Mar. Palmas del Mar is a beautiful property overall, with a lot of amenities. The villa was just as advertised. It was clean and well-maintained and perfect for the four of us. The swimming pool is just in back of it, so extremely convenient. The beach is close enough to walk (10 minutes or so), though you can also drive and park in the hotel parking lot. Palmas del Mar has a sales/information building (that you'll pass on your way to the villa) which was extremely helpful with maps of Palmas del Mar and of Puerto Rico. They told me how to find things in the resort and in Humacao (like groceries, Walmart etc.). They also had a tip on a local bakery/deli that made delicious cubano sandwiches. Palmas del mar is only about 45 minutes from San Juan and Fajardo, so we were able to easily do the day trips that we planned. Dealing with the villa's owner was very easy. He was very communicative via email, and our security deposit was refunded within about a week (with no prompting from me). All in all a great place to stay with no surprises -- which is exactly what you want from your vacation accommodations.
