  This home is beautiful, warm, clean and luxurious. It was everything and more than what was described. We lacked for nothing and felt spoiled living there for a week. We were there with out kids and grandson and sometimes found it difficult to leave the comfort of this house. We enjoyed Capitola, Santa Cruz Downtown and Monterey throughout our stay and each day trip was relaxing because of the central location. We highly recommend the local funky restaurant Paula's. It is only blocks away and the breakfast is delicious and inexpensive.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, pet owners, families with young children, girls getaway.

  We had an excellent time at this home. The house was spotless and well-equipted, the owners were super responsive, and everything was just as it was represented in the description here. It was great.

  This beachhouse is very well appointed. The upstairs master is nicer than our own and quite a sanctuary from the kids rooms below. Hearing the surf at night and running our dog on the beach makes it perfect. highly recommended !!!! ***** JWL

  Owner response: It is such a delight to receive reviews like this. We love to spend time on the beach with our dog and listening to the waves at night in the master suite. During the day, we also like to see the wildlife and sailboats from the balcony.

  We stayed here over Thanksgiving week. The house was in great shape. The kitchen was VERY well stocked. It was also stocked with books, DVD's, and a few board games. The fireplace was nice and easy to use The home is a short 2-minute walk to the beach. The owner was helpful in answering our questions and returned our security deposit in a timely manner. Our dog was able to come for a small charge. I recommend this home.

  Wonderful place to stay right by the beach. Many homey touches. Simply, it is even better than the pictures!

  Our family had a wonderful reunion at the East Cliff Yellow Beach House. Doretta was so wonderful to work with and very accommodating to our needs. She extended a warm welcome with home made jam, banana bread and treats from her garden. Both our four adult sons, my husband and I loved the beautifully decorated and comfortable family-focused home. All our needs were met ~ we loved cooking in the well appointed kitchen, sharing meals in the inviting eating spaces, relaxing on the patio, soaking in the jacuzzi tub, watching TV in the living room, playing games and sleeping soundly in the cozy beds. The second story master suite was luxurious, spacious and regal. We highly recommend this lovely beach house for gatherings with family or friends. Beach access is a few steps away... it is a family and dog friendly beach that is fun to relax at or walk to your hearts' content. Be sure to check out kayaking opportunities at Moss Landing/Elkhorn Slough ~ the wildlife is awesome!!

  Our family thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay @ the EC Yellow beach house ! This home is very well appointed with high quality finishes thruout. the 2nd floor master suite is very very nice. You will be impressed with this home and its owners attention to detail with top quality fixtures and appliances. Dog friendly home has beautiful tile flooring and the nearby beach is great for dogs and hanging out without alot of congestion. Very clean , very well maintained. Very nice Owner. Great location with close proximity to Santa Cruz and Capitola. Walk to great surfing spots. Highly recommended AAAAA. Hope to be back next year !!

  Our extended family stayed for a week. The house is spacious and beautifully updated. The owners are friendly and helpful, easy to reach if you have questions during your stay. The house is a very short walk to a beautiful beach which is dog friendly. While there we saw a pod of dolphins only a few feet off the shore and enjoyed exploring the tide pools. The owners have thought of every amenity to make your stay carefree and enjoyable. I highly recommend this beach house--you won't be disappointed!!

  This beach house is very nice, recently redone and has a great open layout. The owners left us a welcome basket with wine and local goodies, which was a very nice surprise when we checked in. The kitchen is stocked with everything you might need, including plastic plates, bowls and cups which was perfect for our toddlers. And the backyard was a great fenced in spot for our kids and dogs to play without worrying about safety. The house is just a block from the beach, so we spent a lot of time at the beach with the kids and dogs and everyone had a great time. Doretta was easy to work with and we really enjoyed everything about the house, thanks so much for a great Memorial Day weekend!

  Owner response: Thank you so much for taking the time to write this review. The kid friendly tableware was a recent addition so that children could be more independent and feel "at home" as well. It is great to see that you noticed,appreciated,and commented on it. The local goodies are from our local kitchen and garden. Our hens produce some very tasty eggs that we share with our guests when our supply is plentiful. We hope to see you again so that you may enjoy the Santa Cruz coast and all its splendor.

  I would recommend this house to anyone. We were a family of four with a dog, and we had a great time. The house is very well kept, with a fully stocked kitchen, and plenty of books and DVDs for downtime. There is an amazing jetted bathtub in the master bedroom, and plenty of places to lounge around and enjoy the fresh ocean air. It's very easy to keep the house clean, since it has an outdoor shower and laundry facility. There's even a boogie board and wetsuit, but unfortunately the wetsuit wouldn't fit me. The location is happily situated near Santa Cruz harbor, and between Capitola and downtown Santa Cruz. There are a couple very good restaurants within just a couple minutes drive, some within a few blocks walk. The beach is very close and allows bonfires before 10pm, and is extremely dog-friendly. Since we have a dog, we were very happy to be able to let him off his leash and enjoy himself. Only issue is we expected there to be some beach towels for use, but we didn't see any. Other nice surprises more than made up for that, however.

Since receiving this review, we have marked the outside of the outdoor storage drawer set with " beach towels" to make it easier for our guests to find the beach towels that we provide.
