We had a great time during the Winter at this beach house. A stones throw from the beach literally. Has everything you need plus Internet and games for the teenager. Highlight each day was a very pleasant walk along the beach to Palm Cove to get some great coffee, breakfast and the paper, with a siesta during the afternoon. Thoroughly recommend as very suitable for a family stay.

Our in-laws flew in all the from the US, so we were very nervous about finding the right place to make our first visit to northern Queensland as enjoyable as possible. This great house in Clifton Beach ended up being perfect for us. The pool was great for the kids - kept them occupied when we weren't out exploring the area. We also loved the central location - good for excursions leaving from either Port Douglas (40 mins by car) or from Cairns (20 mins by car). The property was clean and comfortable, and the owner's went out of their way to make sure all of our questions got answered, including advice and suggestions for things to do in the area. The Great Barrier Reef was AMAZING. We also went to Green Island on our last day - I was reluctant to go because I'd heard it was a bit touristy - but it was quite nice on the beach, and we got to snorkel up close with 3 green sea turtles - which was the icing on the cake!

We travelled from Cairns to Brisbane and did not find better accomadations than this one. A wonderful beach steps away, a pool surrounded with tropical flowers and swaying palm trees in the front yard. A billabong (natural watering hole/stream) in the backyard filled with butterflies and kookaburra birds. This place has it all, sights/sounds/smells, of Australia. Proximity to crocodile farms and tropical rainforest skyrail, walking distance to a shopping mall that has everything you would need. A great evening walk on the beach to many wonderful beachfront restaurants in Palm Cove. As to the home itself, it truly feels like you are home when you are staying here. Everything you need to feel comfortable when you want to spend time indoors is here. We cooked gourmet meals indoors and outside and primarily enjoyed them on the wonderful verandah. If planning on visiting anywhere from Port Douglas to Cairns, don't stay anywhere else, on our return trip which we are already dreaming of, we wouldn't. We had the washer break while we were there and it was fixed the next day, no disruption to our holiday at all. The owner is very organized, effficient and friendly and your booking will be a breeze if you have a Paypal account. Feel free to contact me if you wan't verification this was written by a guest and not the owner himself.

Great house ....great location and only a 10 minute beach walk to the laid back picturesque village of Palm Cove!! Step outside the front door and you're in the pool...then a few more steps and you're on the sandy white beach which is great for swimming.....while inside all the mod. cons are all there for a perfect holiday!! Highly recommend and will go again....only next time it'll be for longer, all guests had a great holiday! The Toull's of Blairgowrie Victoria

This is a great location central to both Cairns city, the northern beaches, and the areas north of Port Douglas. We are a family of 5 and the house was plenty spacious for us. The salt water pool was a delight to cool off in and the location right on the beach was superb. We were able to easily access the dive operators in Cairns as well as the restaurants there. We also made several day trips to Cape Tribulation as well as the Atherton tablelands all from the same location. Palm Cove was a nice 15 minute walk down the beach and the local shopping center around the corner kept us well supplied. An overall excellent choice to sample the region.
