Our dream house has over 5,700 square feet in which to unwind, entertain, cook and simply marvel after a full day of skiing literally out the back door to the private ski trail on one of the world’s greatest mountains. Located in the exclusive Pines neighborhood, it is available to rent for reduced prices.
Wake up to a view of the Rockies that will make you hungry for the fresh powder, long cruiser runs and diverse terrain just outside your door. Enjoy your breakfast in our huge gourmet cook’s kitchen, with every appliance, gadget and convenience -- including a large gourmet gas barbeque grill right out the kitchen door – as you absorb the Colorado sunshine filling the cathedral ceilings and wood beams that frame the endless windows that let in light at every angle, in every corner of the house.
Put on your boots in the spacious customized ski room, while gazing out at the white-powder of Snowmass valley – and enjoy the foot comfort from our large ski boot dryer that will ensure a dry and comfortable fit every morning. For those who pass on the Alpine downhill runs, we have snow shoes right in the mudroom to fit any size, so just strap them on your hiking shoes and stride directly onto pristine trails through the White River National Forest – also known as our back yard. A world-class cross-country ski trail is also right out the back door, for our Nordic-minded friends. There is nothing but woods behind our house – ensuring maximum privacy, quiet and access to all sorts of winter sports.
At the end of your best day of skiing ever, just pull up to our back door, stack your skis where you stop, hang your clothes to dry in the ski room -- and warm yourself by one of the 5 gas fireplaces placed throughout the house while sitting back in our customized robes, sipping hot cider and chocolate, a cold beer or a fine glass of wine from our cellar.
Just outside all the bedrooms is our massage-jet hot tub, ready to work out those muscle kinks from your ski day. And do not worry about the details – each room is fully stocked with towels, linens, shampoo, skin lotions, soaps and other amenities so you can relax in front of our wide screen TV in the enclosed media room while munching on fresh popcorn and other snacks stored in the lower kitchen and wet bar, or engage in a tough game of Scrabble or one of our many board games in the sitting room or the living room, or simply gaze again out the panoramic views as the sun sets behind the mountains – the colors and hues of the Western sky will seem like a dream.
Eating in is easy – a full grocery store is 5 minutes away, and many restaurants deliver full meals. And our house manager can arrange for the fridge and pantry to be fully stocked before you arrive. Snowmass Village is only 7 minutes away with many places to eat and shop to fit any appetite. And downtown Aspen is only 15 minutes away, with some of the world’s greatest eateries, bars and clubs.
This is the first season our house is available for rentals, so we are offering this very special residence to people who desire something unique, warm, convenient and spectacular all rolled into one. On the rental listing our home is available for $4000/night (plus 16% tax), but we are willing to discount the price, given today’s economy. There is an up-charge for Christmas/New Year’s weeks given the high demand. The home rents for $2000/night in the off season.

We live in Northern Virginia, just outside of Washington, DC. I am trained as a special education teacher; my husband is an attorney.
Why the Owner Chose Snowmass
We have always loved Colorado and dreamed of buying a home there one day. Throughout the years, we had visited numerous ski resorts and nothing felt "right" until we skied Snowmass. Our house has the perfect combination of serenity, while being 20 ft from the ski trail--just out our ski room door. A simple 15 minute drive to Aspen allows us to indulge in great food, arts, culture and shopping.
