Great house for Turkey Day
Great house for Turkey Day
As previous renters have said, the house is very spacious and the owners have to be the best to work with!!! They have thought of so many extras to make your stay pleasant--paper cups, plates, napkins, bottled water, coffee and hot chocolate for the Keurig, candy everywhere(the grand children loved that!),and hair dryers in both Jack & Jill bathrooms. Another wonderful feature is the TV reception is excellent and yeh the icemaker really puts out the ice! Everyone loved the bumper pool table and the closeness to the ski slopes. I really think Karen & Ken have gone out of their way to be the most gracious hosts! P.S. They have a baby gate that would help for dogs and little ones.

Elaine and Ken were great to work with. Easy to get ahold of and you couldn't ask for a better house for a lot of people. Everything was clean, new and beautiful. TV's in every room. I just wish I would have had more time to enjoy the house. Anything you needed or wanted was there plus more. Right down to extra pony tail holders. Which I always pack and lose. They have taken extra pains to make sure you stay is comfortable and great. Which it was. Not to mention the mountain is beautiful. Hiking was great, not easy but great!!

Owner response: Robbie, your family group made for great guests. Thank you for appreciating The Blue Sky Memories home and your kind comments about comfort, cleanliness and more. We do care and spend so much time planning and executing upgrades small and large for our guests. We want you to enjoy Wintergreen Mountain and all it's nature and beauty. Wear yourself out on the mountain then come back to your home away from home and be lavished in comfort and relaxation. Thank you again, you were wonderful guests!!
Fogged in crew with an agenda.

Words will not explain the property or the homey feeling this house and owners shared with us. But here goes. They left out vast amounts of candies and bottled water. K-cups coffee and hot coco. each bathroom had ample paper products and a tray of soaps, lotions, tooth products,,, etc..The Bedrooms each had great quality TV's sizable beds, ceiling fans, temperature controls, Top quality bedding. Chris said she slept great in the comfortable bed with beautiful bedding, the room was warm and pretty conducive to a superb nights sleep. Huge Gas grill, Large rooms, duel decks. We will be back again, when we can spend more time at this mountain top retreat, maybe some SUN. It's still so worth the Trip... Be ready to drive to the top of the mountain.

Owner response: Robert and Barbara, We thank you for the appreciation of our home. We love the Wintergreen Mountain/Resort/George Washington National Forest/Skyline Drive nature experience, but we also like to share the comforts of home with our guests. Since purchasing the home in July we have been working hard to make the home a place where anyone can come to relax and enjoy all four seasons or come to tear up the slopes during ski season. Robert and Barbara, we are so happy that your reunion with friends went so well (sorry about the rain) and that our place was your chosen central meeting place. Thank you and we can't wait for your group to come again and celebrate your 19 years of friendship!! You were wonderful guests.
What a wonderful house! We stayed here for a long 4th of July weekend with my parents, sister's family and my family and had 6 adults and 5 children. There was plenty of room for everyone and the house is in a great location, we took advantage of the hiking trails several times during our stay. Thanks!!

Outstanding place to have any type of gathering. There was plenty of space, and the kitchen was spacious which was perfect for my family who likes to cook and mingle in the kitchen. Conveniently located near the slopes and the house is on a cul-de-sac...no traffic and wonderful for kids.

I just got back from Wintergreen after a 3night stay at this listing....all I can say is...WOW. The house was incredible...spacious, convenient to the slopes/resort, and the big screen TV was a great touch. This was our forst trip to Wintergreen, and after such a great experience, we are already talking about plans for another trip to Wintergreen, and we wil definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful time staying at this house and Wintergreen. The house was spacious and perfect for both kids and adults. We also used the pool, trails and skiing at the resort - was hassle free and convenient. We are coming back!

Our family, three generations, all enjoyed staying in this house togther because of its spaciousness. All 13 of us could eat in the kitchen/dining area together and spend time in the great room without feeling crowded. It is well-furnished and is close to the main attractions of Wintergreen. We liked being able to speak directly with the owners when we had a question.

This home at the Wintergreen Resort provided the perfect setting for our fall family reunion. A home was better for us than an inn because our four generations had plenty of space to enjoy one another. Everyone appreciated the house from an economical point of view because we had more money to spend on fun at the resort.
