Avoid the snowy roads by going through Globe or view the pine trees loaded down with fluffy white snow going through Payson and the Rim country to this 3 bedroom/2 bath log-sided cabin set back from the road with privacy and quiet. Listen to the soft hush of the snow falling and the wind sighing through the Ponderosa pines while you sit in front of the warm gas fireplace. Watch the weather change and the gray clouds move through from the big windows in each room while you sip hot chocolate and catch up on your reading. Or make an early start to the Sunrise ski area only 30 minutes away. You will sleep soundly from all the exercise, cold, and the high altitude.
The master bedroom has a Sleep Number bed for your dreaming pleasure and the guest room is decorated in pale blue and red like a bed and breakfast. A convertible sofa in the third bedroom and a futon in the great room provide additional sleeping. This 1800 sq ft home on .4 AC was built in 2004 and has been lightly used by us as a second/vacation home. We are pet friendly with a huge fenced backyard to roam in.
You will find ski shops in town and all the store owners are friendly and ready to make your winter visit the best ever. Why the Owner Chose Pinetop
We love the cool nights for sleeping in this 7200 foot elevation and listening to the breeze through the Ponderosa pines and feeding the squirrels, jays and woodpeckers we get around the house. Charley Clark's restaurant and Munich Haus restaurant are just down the road, Safeway is just a little further and there are several good places to get breakfast. We come up here to read, relax, take drives and fish on Woodland Lake and many of our friends have moved here also.
The Unique Benefits at this Log Sided Cabin
We have a lovely green grass backyard with a large deck that we can sit on and read and watch the storms move through. We have a wood fire pit to sit around in the Fall evenings and roast marshmallows. Inside is a gas fireplace that warms the room while we watch TV in our recliners and eat popcorn. We can sit and vegetate all day or there are always antique shops, some kind of community event, and a new multiscreen movie theater when we feel like getting up and doing something. You can walk to Woodland Lake and fish or just walk around the lake. Just do what you feel like doing or nothing at all!

We have been driving up to Pinetop-Lakeside for the past 20 years and staying in rentals or camping. Finally in 1999, we bought our first property. But as we got closer to retirement, we knew we needed more room, and we stumbled upon this newly built property. Several others saw this property and competed with us in buying it and we are so glad that we found it. It is perfect for us to get away.
