What a great weekend at 'What A View' on Cherokee Lake! This was our first adventure at this location and we absolutely loved it...and have already made reservations for next October 2012! The house was spacious and clean and the beds were amazingly comfortable. If we could have gotten those king size mattresses into our suitcase we would have taken them home! We four ladies had the time of our lives as we scrapbooked while overlooking the glistening lake - it was so very peaceful. I even was able to complete 60 album pages during the course of our stay. We did enjoy the breaks and watched tv on the flat panel tv's and we also grilled on the huge deck and used the kitchen which was fully stocked with all of the utensils that we could ever imagine using. This was a fabulous weekend hanging out with great friends in a great cottage...definitely doing it again!
Owner response:Looking forward to your stay next year. I hope you will find the new carpet and flooring nice for your next stay having it install next week. Hope you have many memories to scrap before your next stay!

This house was perfect for our family "get together". We try to meet several times a year and this was the best place yet. The the rooms are larger than what they look in the photos and the deck is wonderful! We had a nice relaxing weekend and we felt very comfortable in the house.

We live local but had family coming in from out of state and wanted a place where friends come by to gather, use the lake, and be relaxed. THIS is the perfect place! The peaceful setting makes you feel as if you're a million miles from everywhere, yet isn't 1/2 mile from the main road and so easy to get to it's silly. Inside the home, the furnishings are very comfortable and plentiful. The kitchen is so well stocked that you shouldn't need to bring anything but the food. The stainless steel gas grill and the smoker will give you ample cooking options to stay outside with the group rather than being stuck in the inside preparing the meal. The deck space is abundant enough for large gatherings with comfortable seating and dining options to make you only need to go inside to sleep in the 4 king size beds. The gentle slope (by East Tennessee standards) of the yard leading down to the lake should be accessable to almost anyone. As someone who is VERY particular about where I'll pull my boat in, much less dock for several days, I was extremely happy with this set-up. Padding and bumpers all around, plus 3 floating Jet-Ski docks if needed, kept my mind from wondering how bad the damage would be. (3 days in, not a single problem). When it was time to leave, NOBODY was ready to go, but ALL can't wait to go back! Thank you Kim & Sid for allowing others to take in a little part of what you get to enjoy on a regular basis. We all understand why you love it so much.

We wanted a peaceful weekend to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday and that's what we got! The house is actually kid friendly for the 4 year old twins and the 7 month old baby... it's nicely decorated but we only had to put a few things up to keep them out of trouble! The downstairs den is great for everyone to stretch out and watch a movie...and the king sized beds are wonderful for a 7 month old little girl that likes to stretch out in all different ways! Haha! The house is completely furnished with appliances and dishes to make your stay smooth and it was super easy to grill out! The view was wonderful to wake up to and the deck was the perfect place to relax after the kiddos were in bed. I honestly don't have one bad word to say! Thanks so much for opening your house up for our family to enjoy!

We stayed seven days and that still wasn't long enough. The king sized beds were so comfy that you didn't want to get up in the mornings, but at the same time, you couldn't wait to get out on that deck to see what the lake looked like that day. There was plenty of room to spread out and still have our individual privacy. That deck was just wonderful and provided another room for us this week. We spent more time out there than anywhere else. The owner was prompt and friendly with answering our calls and any questions we had. The shopping in old, quaint downtown Morristown was lots of fun too. Whether you're looking for fun, view, or just peace and quiet, this place covers it all.
