At 4118 feet above sea level, Highlands, North Carolina is the highest incorporated city on the east coast, allowing the temperature to be 10 to 15 degrees cooler than in the foothills. Highlands is located in the southwest corner of North Carolina, with gorgeous mountain views including not only North Carolina, but South Carolina, Georgia, and Tennessee. Highlands offers great shopping, antiquing, recreational activities, and an abundance of restaurants to suit anyone's pallet. This amazing getaway destination is only an hour drive from Clemson, SC, two hours from Atlanta, Georgia, and three hours from Charlotte, NC. or Columbia, SC.
This designer mountain home has been totally renovated and features two native stone fireplaces in the center of the two large great rooms. Both great rooms have 52" flat screen TV's, perfect for adults and children or husbands and wives with different TV interests. The entire home is covered in hardwood floors and slate and fully furnished with a variety of new and antique furnishings giving the home a “mountainesque” feel. The open floor plan on the main level of the home features granite counter tops in the kitchen with seating for twelve overlooking a fantastic view.
