At 4118 feet above sea level, Highlands, North Carolina is the highest incorporated city on the east coast, allowing the temperature to be 10 to 15 degrees cooler than in the foothills. Highlands is located in the southwest corner of North Carolina, with gorgeous mountain views including not only North Carolina, but South Carolina, Georgia, and Tennessee. Highlands offers great shopping, antiquing, recreational activities, and an abundance of restaurants to suit anyone's pallet. This amazing getaway destination is only an hour drive from Clemson, SC, two hours from Atlanta, Georgia, and three hours from Charlotte, NC. or Columbia, SC.
This designer mountain home has been totally renovated and features two native stone fireplaces in the center of the two large great rooms. Both great rooms have 52" flat screen TV's, perfect for adults and children or husbands and wives with different TV interests. The entire home is covered in hardwood floors and slate and fully furnished with a variety of new and antique furnishings giving the home a “mountainesque” feel. The open floor plan on the main level of the home features granite counter tops in the kitchen with seating for twelve overlooking a fantastic view. Also off the main level is a 1200 sq. ft. covered deck with abundant seating, including a rustic wooden bar. The design of this home is multi-purposed, in that it is great for entertaining large numbers of people or perfect for a small family gathering.
While this home is designed to sleep eight, it’s as cozy for two as it is roomy for ten. The home features two master suites with king size beds, spacious bath rooms, walk-in closets, and 40” flat screen TV’s. The upper level master suite has a large private deck with an amazing mountain view and a private office/den that could be used for an additional bedroom or nursery. The two bedrooms on the lower level each have two twin beds, perfect for young children or adults. These guests share a spacious bathroom with a shower/tub and a washer and dryer. The lower level of the home also comes with a wet bar, microwave, ice maker, refrigerator, and a game table for six, great for entertaining.
