Within minutes are the quaint fishing villages of Punta Gorda, Boca Grande, Englewood, and Venice. All have beaches, shopping, restaurants, boutiques, art galleries and various cultural events.
Kayak or canoe the Gulf, back bays or the Myakka River. Surf fish, hire a local Riverwood fishing guide, or explore and observe eagles, manatee, river otter, great horned owls, bobcats, and of course alligators.
Tucked away on one of the largest lots, with sprawling live oaks, palms and other plantings, peace and quiet is yours in a tropical paradise. Our home has all of the amenities you would expect. Furnished and decorated as a comfortable getaway, it is immensely livable. An open floor plan expands onto a 600 sf lanai, with dining, sitting and relaxing areas. The master br, great room and kitchen/dining all have access to the lanai and private views. Bikes, fishing rods, cable, internet, 2 car garage, and gas bbq are all included.

Why the Owner Chose Port Charlotte
We were convinced by friends to come and visit them in the Port Charlotte/Boca Grande area. Having vacationed for many years in other parts of Florida, we didn't think that it was possible that there was still a quiet, beautiful, congestion free area left. Were we wrong! This is a true slice of heaven. We bought our home as a refuge from the Michigan winters and it has been delightful.
Great spot for exploring the Gulf, back bays, mangrove forests. Spend an afternoon or the day..fishing, beaches, wildlife observation (osprey, eagles, manatee).
Old Florida fishing village with banyan tree lined streets; Bob Vila's home; vacation spot for Pres. Bush I & II, and other celebrities. Great public beaches.
Very challenging, great layout. Next to Riverwood, one of the best in SW Florida.
Nice layout, fun to play. Very modestly priced. Skins game open to public on Tues and Thurs.(may change, check w/clubhouse)
One of the best values in the area. Kids up to 17 play free. Nice layout, underwent a complete makeover 2 years ago. Very affordable.
Wonderful hiking trails, canoeing, wildlife observation (especially alligators!).
Old Florida restaurant on the river. Great entertainment under sprawling live oaks, good food (extremely casual). Good launching spot for kayaking (free launch). Might see manatees.

We are Michiganders, live on a lake, and are outdoor enthusiasts. We enjoy golf, skiing, fishing, hiking, biking, kayaking, gardening, reading. We love music, concerts, plays, sporting events and time with our grandchildren.
