Our new quiet and secluded Sunrise Cove Cabin at Patoka Lake is ready for you.
Grab a cup of coffee and relax on the 36' long covered back porch and watch the morning sun sparkle on the lake. Catch up on your reading in the comfy chair in the book nook, or catch up on your favorite team in high definition on the 42" plasma TV with Dish Network Satellite service. Downstairs there's a pool table, foosball, air hockey and Ping Pong. If you must check your Facebook, wireless internet is available for $5 per night.
Step out the back door and enjoy the nearly 26,000 acre Patoka Lake recreation area. Build a campfire, take a hike, or grab your pole and hike down to lake. When you get back, soak in the new 25-jet hot tub or step into the double walk-in shower in the master bath.
Besides the nearby lake activities, the casino at the French Lick Springs Resort is a short 15 minutes away. And the not-to-be-missed West Baden Springs Resort is just a mile further. A movie theatre with stadium seating, a giant in-door water park, an awesome in-door go-kart track, several restaurants, a grocery and pharmacy also are located in the French Lick/West Baden area.
Get away from it all or get away to it all at Sunrise Cove Cabin.

Sunrise Cove is our prized retreat. We built it first and foremost for ourselves as a second home for our family, which is why we are heartbroken when we arrive to find that previous guests have carelessly damaged it and our furnishings. We are eager to share our laughing place with others, but please tread lightly.

Year Purchased: 2009
For the past two years, Sunrise Cove owners Rich and Dawn have worked to build a retreat that you won't want to leave. They've included features they've enjoyed in vacation rentals or resorts in which they've stayed. The double shower was inspired by a cabin at Lake Monroe. The gaming area is similar to one in a chalet in Gatlinburg. And watching the sun rise on the back porch reminds them of their stays in National Park Lodges in the Western U.S. Rich works for an engineering company, Dawn is a middle-school science teacher. They and their two kids get away to Sunrise Cove Cabin every chance they can.
Why the Owner Chose Walls Lake
We searched for a year for the right location to build Sunrise Cove Cabin. We wanted a view of Patoka Lake, which we enjoy early fall through late spring, and we wanted the property to be adjacent to the government land that surrounds the water itself -- essentially giving us a 26,000 acre backyard. We also wanted quick access to the many amenities in French Lick, while also being very easy to get to from Interstate 64. And most importantly, with two kids, two dogs, a cat and a busy state highway running past our back yard at home, we wanted somewhere QUIET. We found it. :)

We found the cabin had everything we needed including lots of kitchen appliances and utensils/serving dishes, etc. It was also stocked with extra blankets which was very helpful! The scenery is beautiful and the directions to the cabin were very helpful. It is tucked away in a very nice setting. We actually apprecitated the extra security walking into it. Thanks for sharing your home!

My wife and I spent 3 nights at the cabin and the pictures were "spot-on". The cabin was very secluded and quiet and we had a wonderful anniversary enjoying the views of the colorful trees and we could actually see the lake from the deck. We would recommend the place and the owners were very nice to deal with.

Absolutely the most beautiful cabin. Pictures do not do it justice. Peaceful and secluded. Beautiful view of the lake. You truly have everything you would need to spend the entire day enjoying the cabin. If you can tear yourself away, however, you are not far away from the beautiful towns of French Lick and West Baden and all the history of those towns. The hotels are beautiful. The hotel tours are wonderful. Thank you Dawn and Rich. You have a wonderful cabin! Thank you for being so accomodating and easy to work with.

We were blessed again to stay in this awesome home for the second time. This cabin is a place like no other that I have stayed in. If you are looking for a place to completely relax and leave all of your worries behind this is it. I have never relaxed anywhere like I have here. In the morning it is coffee on the deck looking out over the forest and hearing only birds. They have an awesome hot tub outside again looking out over the forest and of course the sound of birds and swaying trees. The inside of the cabin has everything you would ever need for your stay. It is everything you see on VRBO and more....If you can't relax here then you just can't relax!!!!!!! Big thanks to Rich and Dawn for allowing us to rent their cabin again....We treat your home just like it were our own as should everyone else that stays.....We can't wait until next year.

WOW! TRULY AMAZING!!! We recently got back from a fabulous weekend from this cabin. I have to say it was everything and more! I cannot say enough wonderful things about this cabin. The pictures do not even do it justice! It was SO peaceful and quiet! SO relaxing!! The back porch is a MUST everyday, cold or not! I would wrap up in a blanket and sit on the back porch and just relax, watch over the lake, the birds and just nature! It is very secluded and very peaceful with a great view of the lake during the winter time! The cabin was fully stocked with everything you would need! It is BEAUTIFULLY decorated and so cozy, feels just like home away from home! I HIGHLY recommend renting this cabin! It was VERY hard to leave this gorgeous scenery! There is so much to do in French Lick/West Baden, but the cabin is so wonderful, you don't want to leave it to do anything! (And we didn't!) :) We will DEFINITLY be coming back! This cabin in more beautiful than what the pictures depict. It is clean, roomy, well stocked, and comes with an awesome view! We truly enjoyed our stay at this cabin and especially enjoyed our time out on the back deck. The view, combined with the peace and tranquility, made for a great weekend. If you are going to visit the French Lick area, this cabin is perfect! Rich and Dawn are very gracious hosts.

My family and I just got back from our stay at Sunrise.....wow I already miss it...it is the most peaceful place I have ever stayed...It has everything you need....neat and clean, plenty of room, warm and cozy, beautiful inside and out, it is very well stocked and so comfortable. You are very close to so many things to do as well....I would highly recommend this cabin to everyone...what you see on this web site is what you get and more...thanks Rich and Dawn for sharing your wonderful cabin....we will be back....
