A perfectly situated little bungalow to explore all of the great things Seattle has to offer. It sits on a quiet tree-lined street just down the hill from Phinney Ridge, Woodland Park Zoo and Green Lake. Fremont, the University of Washington and downtown Ballard are just a couple miles away, and downtown Seattle, Pike Place Market, Queen Anne and Capital Hill are less than 10 miles away.
The bungalow features a small living room with a futon ( extra bed if needed ), TV with cable and Wi-Fi, a big kitchen with all necessary equipment to whip up some great meals from goods that you can get at Ballard's Sunday market (open all year), a newly remodeled bathroom and a bedroom with an extremely comfortable double bed. The window in the bedroom overlooks the quiet little backyard; it has a deck with lounge and table and chairs. The back yard is private and gets full sun all day long.
Nearby you'll find Cafe Bambino (great coffee, pastries), a pizza joint that makes great pies, and a fun little bar hopping area - that's just a block away. Ballard has sophisticated shopping, restaurants, sushi bars, and jazz and music clubs - that's just a mile away. Fremont and the Ave have all the funk you could want and the Univ. of Washington campus is 3 miles away. If you want to get to downtown Seattle ( 7 miles ) and the Pike Place Market it is an easy drive or bike ride or the bus runs are nearby.

I am a single woman who loves to travel to other parts of the world. I enjoy adventurous bike riding trips and hanging out and learning about other cultures. Meeting people from other cultures is one of my favorite things. I've loved Seattle for many years and will always enjoy coming back home because it's one of the best cities in the country.
Why the Owner Chose Ballard
This house was the first house I could buy on my own so it has special meaning to me. I am so happy I did it because it is located in such a great area of the city. It is within walking distance to Green Lake and bike riding distance to the University of Washington, Fremont, Phinney Ridge and downtown Ballard...it's only a few miles from downtown Seattle, Pike Place Market, and all the great restaurants! Just up the street are some really fun bars, coffee houses, and tattoo and piercing joints. It makes for a great atmosphere, yet the house is tucked down a quiet street.
The Unique Benefits of this House
There is a little sunny backyard with a deck and lounge chair which can be enjoyed all day long - very quiet, peaceful and private. Just up the street is the best pizza place around and great coffee as well. The Sunday Market in Ballard is phenomenal and has everything to make a fabulous organic meal - it goes all year long. Great restaurants, like Ray's Boathouse, is just a few miles away where you can catch nice sunsets. Seattle is a great place whether it's sunny or not.
