Once again we have returned to Mocha Bear and it was just as great this time. The town people I spoke to were still a little wounded from the recent indicent, so we were sensitive to their mood. We got lots of snow while we were there and had a lot of fun building snowmen and sledding. We got to shovel a ton of snow. Eric was so king to call and check on us....to see if we needed anything. The snowplows had aleady hit the streets and did a great job! Someone made two rope swings that were hanging from two huge trees in the back. They were fun! I also wanted to thank everyone who has been there since our first trip, for the good care they have taken of the belongings in the cabin. Everything looked great and and well cared for, which really made it nice. We look forward to our next return!

This cabin was the epitome of perfection! Upon arrival, we could tell right away that the description delivered all that was expected and more. We took our family of 5 up to Big Bear (for the first time) for a long weekend and were not disappointed. From the surprising welcome bag filled with goodies, to the well stocked kitchen and bathrooms, this cabin was perfect. There were ample DVDs and games to use that fit a variety of ages. The homeowners were great hosts, even without being there! There was a binder of information on the cabin and on the Big Bear area. They had even gone to the courtesy of including a list of local restaurants and written their own reviews on them! The fireplace was set with wood, ready to use. Nothing had been overlooked...WOW! Thank you for providing us the opportunity to use your cabin and for being such attentive owners! This cabin helped to set our vacation up for success and fun was had by all!

Mocha Bear cabin is idyllic! This place, these owners, are "special." Here is why: They care about their cabin and they care about their guests! The description of the cabin literally drew us in. There was something warm and inviting behind the words -- and it wasn't just marketing. When we arrived at the cabin, we experienced that warmth again and again: Through the beautiful (live) floral arrangement, to the thoughtful welcoming gift (filled with pertinent items like chap stick and moisturizer, etc), to the comfortable furnishings, to the well-appointed kitchen with a great gas stove, to the well-stocked woodpile and all pertinent household supplies, to the bathrooms (where I thoroughly enjoyed the best steamy baths and showers), to the cleanliness of everything. We were so comfortable and we loved being so close to the skiing. And on top of all that, the owners were lovely to deal with -- including the fact that we received our deposit within days of returning home! It has been an absolute pleasure, truly idyllic, and we will be returning, again and again! We are grateful for the thought and effort that went into making our stay so enjoyable.

Owner response: We are happy only when our guests are happy. Hope to see you again and we hope new family traditions were created when you were here. Thanks so much for your kind words.

The Cabin was WONDERFUL! My husband and I took my 8 year old son and my mother-in-law for a fun filled snow week! We make a point of going every year but this is the first time we used VRBO. The owners were terrific, even though we did not need anything, they sent an email to check and make sure everything was ok and to let them know if there was anything we needed! All the ameneties were as much or more than we expected! It was beautiful. We used the garage, which is an added plus! The location is very close to skiing, although we don't ski. There was lots of snow so we played in the back a lot. We BBQ'd in the snow too! We look forward to our next trip to Big Bear and if Mocha Bear is availalbe, that's going to be our first choice. Thanks Anne and Eric for being so attentive and providing a wonderful space to enjoy our time as a family!

We had a great stay at Mocha Bear from January 7-9, 2011. The cabin is beautiful and although not a large cabin, it is very cozy and accomodates 6 people very well. It is close to Bear Mountain or you can take a shuttle from Bear Mountain to Snow Summit if you prefer. Thank you Eric and Anne!

We spent the Thanksgiving holiday at Mocha Bear this year. There were 6 adults and two kids. The cabin was perfect! It is the perfect balance between updated and modern and outdoor cabin. There is lots of wood but also it is clean and nice. The bathrooms and kitchen are well stocked and very clean. We got more than we had hoped for! We'll be back for sure!!!!!

This cabin was perfect, near everything, cozy and with everything we could need in our stay, it exceeded our expectations. Definitely will recommended and stay there again. Thank you to the owners for the care to detail and honesty through all the process. We and our friends had tons of fun during our weekend in Big Bear. Thanks Eric and Ann.

We loved the cabin! From the pictures the cabin looked nice but in it turned out to be even better than our expectations. The layout was perfect. We are kind of picky on where we stay and we all agreed that this was a thumbs up! Modern, clean and cozy. It was so close to Bear Mtn and it made it easy to get to the slopes quickly in the morning. Thank you for the gift bag. It was very thoughtful and we used everything that was in it. We will definitely be back. Thanks again for making our weekend great. The Janca's

Wow! This was the most amazing trip ever. It was the first time that I got to see snow and I couldn't have had more fun. The cabin was perfect with an adorable kitchen just right for making hot coco to warm us up from the snow. The rooms were comfortable and the heated blanket was just right after a long day of sledding. The location was secluded enough to be private but not far enough to prevent visiting town and getting supplies. I can't wait to go again!!

About the owner: The Owners are Anne and Eric Baugh. We bought this cabin because we love the location and we love this cabin. We want to share the forest with responsible people who enjoy the outdoors as much as we do. We love to ski, play golf, hike the trails and bike at Big Bear Lake. This location is so close to the Big Bear ski resort that you can walk.

              Why the Owner Chose Moonridge:
The location of Mocha Bear Cabin is in the mountains, at Big Bear Lake, close to our favorite ski resort and next to the golf course. Our back yard is the National Forest. The cabin is also a two minute drive to Big Bear Lake. There are many hiking and biking trails around the cabin.

The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
The Mocha Bear Cabin backs up to the national forest. You can walk to the golf course or Big Bear Ski Resort. It is centered between Big Bear Ski Resort and Snow Summit Ski Resort. Hiking and biking trails are located all around our cabin.
