Welcome to LAUREL WATERS, our luxury cabin in the woods. Rent this 4br/ 3ba home and enjoy a space that has been decorated with new and unique furnishings. The cabin and its interior have been designed to provide you with the ultimate escape. Laurel Waters rests in a tranquil setting at the base of a steep hill overlooking the beautiful, babbling waters of Mountaintown Creek. If you enjoy trout fishing or tubing or just sitting and watching the water splash over the rocks, then you have found your ideal getaway.
GREAT ROOM
Step through the front door and you find yourself in a resort-like atmosphere. The great room combines a gourmet kitchen, dining area and living room. Sink into plush leather furniture while enjoying a fire that burns in a floor to ceiling stack rock fireplace. The gas fireplace starts at the press of a button so you can enjoy a fire at a moment's notice. Or you may want to sit in one of our comfortable chairs that face the huge picture windows overlooking the creek. If the mood strikes, watch a movie from our DVD collection on the 42-inch flat panel TV or on one of the many premium channels available through the satellite network.
KITCHEN
The cabin has a fully stocked kitchen featuring hickory cabinets, granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. There is a gas range and oven, a microwave, a whisper quiet dishwasher and a side-by-side refrigerator that dispenses chilled water and ice. You'll find everything you need to prepare a gourmet meal: Henkels knives, stainless steel cookware, food processor, hand blender, coffee maker, and tons of kitchen gadgets.
MASTER BEDROOMS
There are two master bedrooms with matching bathrooms. Both rooms have king size beds, a comfortable chair, a dresser and side tables with lamps. The Hickory Room on the main level has a suite of hickory furniture that can only be described as rustic elegance. The Pine Room on the upstairs level has a unique hand-crafted pine log bed. Each room comes with a 32-inch flat panel television and DVD player. French doors open onto private balconies that overlook the creek. Enjoy your morning coffee while sitting in a handmade Amish porch swing or glider. The spacious bathrooms have tiled, jetted tubs, separate showers and double vanities. Look for the plush 100% cotton towels in tall mahogany linen cabinets.
TERRACE LEVEL
On the lower floor, you'll find two more bedrooms, a full bath and a family room. The Sassafras Room has a queen-size sassafras bed and matching furniture. The Bunk Room has a bunk bed and twin bed. The lower level of the bunk has a full-size mattress. Both bedrooms have French doors that open up to a covered area where you can find the hot tub. The family room has a sofa, loveseat, large leather ottoman and another 42-inch flat panel television with a DVD player and a VCR. Be sure to check out the bookcase full of DVDs, games, puzzles and books.
LOFT
At the top of the stairs you'll find a large loft. Dormer windows on both sides of the cabin fill this space with light. There's a desk, a leather loveseat and a daybed with a pop-up trundle bed underneath. A loft feels like a secret hideaway and it's great for taking naps or reading.
COVERED PORCH
Wide stairs lead up to the covered porch. You may never make it inside the cabin once you find this inviting space. The vaulted ceiling provides welcome shade and four ceiling fans keep everyone cool. On one end of the porch, you'll find a large oak farmhouse table. On the other end of the porch, you'll find handmade Amish hickory and oak rocking chairs that overlook the creek. The middle of the porch is devoted to an outdoor fireplace. The stone surround reaches to the ceiling and the hearth is high enough to sit on. New wicker furniture with deep soft cushions provide the perfect place to enjoy an evening fire.

We were looking for a quiet, relaxing cabin to unwind, and Laurel Waters filled that requirement. While the opportunities for tubing, hiking, sight-seeing, and other activities were right there, we just wanted a rest, and this time of the year was perfect ! The scenic one lane forest-canopied road to the cabin added to the charm of this place. The directions given to us by David and Lee were very clear and precise, and we had no problems finding it. We did make a couple gourmet dinners, and everything was already on hand in the modern kitchen for us to do this. We picked up the food ingredients at the shopping centers, less than 30 minutes away. The cabin was in excellent condition and very clean with all the towels you could ever need. My wife and I enjoyed just relaxing on the covered porches, catching up on some reading, some drawings, and taking in the natural beauty God created that surrounded us. We hated to leave when we did, but being there for the time we had was a real blessing !Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

I would say this cabin has all the comforts of home, but it's so much more than a cabin and our home isn't nearly this amazing! Inside this beautiful home there are huge windows, high ceilings, stone and tons of wonderfully smelling wood. Every amenity you can think of was attended to. The furnishings were very clean and comfy and invite naps, snuggling and book reading. There was so much room! The lower level and loft were perfect for the hoard of kids we had with us. The 2 master bathrooms were huge and I loved the kitchen which was open to the great room and dining room. My favorite “room” in the cabin is the large, covered deck area which is really an extension of the living space…ceiling fans, seating area, a second fireplace where we roasted marshmallows, beautiful wooden rockers facing the water, gas grill and a large family-sized dinner table on which we ate all our meals. And while I can’t seem to get away from them in the suburbs of Atlanta, mosquitos never bothered us outside! While this cabin is far enough from Atlanta you definitely feel like you've "gotten away from it all", it's a realitively short and very easy drive. The surroundings are so lovely, private and quiet...most often all you hear is the creek water flowing over the rocks. Deer and folk walking up the road with river tubes is the extent of the traffic on the isolated gravel roads. The adults and kids, alike, adored tubing...equal amount of 'relax and float' stretches and faster moving, rockier stretches. When not tubing, the kids explored, skipped stones, built dams and swam for hours. I've stayed here 3 times now along with a few other families and have ALWAYS had a wonderful time. We plan to come back as soon as possible! We highly recommend!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We wanted to get away from it all, and even though this cabin is a few short miles from everything, it seems a world away. Driving down the forested, single-lane road following the river, I knew this was going to be a great stay! We arrived and our expectations where exceeded. Furnishings and decorations where some of the best we have ever had in a VRBO property. The house was extremely well kept inside, and had ALL the comforts of home. Outside, the decks where amazing. Sitting on either the rocking chairs, swing, or glider (all Amish bentwood, very comfy and GREAT quality) and watching the kids play in the river was perfect. Oh, and the river, come to find out, is one of the best private Trophy Trout rivers in the US. We didn't really do that much fishing (water was too warm for trout our resident angler declard), but every guide we have talked to mentions it as one of the best when the water is cold. Also, you can skip the tubing trips, as you can walk upstream on the road along the river, put your tube in and have a great float. Just bring your own tubes. Highly recommended, and we WILL be back.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
