The property is located on a quiet side street in the Wildernest area of Silverthorne, located on Buffalo Mountain. Half of a duplex, the property has its own private entrance with easy access (2 steps only). Surrounded by Aspen trees, and sporting an updated interior with native wood accents, a fully equipped kitchen, large common area, and 3 bedrooms with breath-taking views of the Continental divide, you will feel at home immediately here. This is not a cookie-cutter anonymous condominium with worn out mattresses and 60's styling. Come and enjoy your vacation in this unique cabin and stretch out your legs in front of the fireplace.

The unit has 3 bedrooms. Upstairs is a loft with a Queen size bed and a private balcony, a kid-friendly room with 2 twin beds, and a full bath. Downstairs is a bedroom with a Queen size bed and a full bath.. All bedrooms are furnished with quality furniture and mattresses.

A large common room on the first floor includes the fully equipped kitchen with pantry and washer/dryer, a fireplace, comfortable sofa and love seat, as well as entertainment options (TV, game console, Stereo, and more). This room also has a solid oak dining table that seats 6 people, as well as bar stools at the kitchen counter.

Outside you will find a wrap-around deck, and a private ski-locker and storage shed.

Parking is available for 2-3 cars on a private parking lot (no parking allowed on the street for reasons of snow removal).

Why the Owner Chose Other Wildernest Properties

We have been skiing the Colorado Mountains and enjoyed summers and fall for years. In 2009 we decided together with another couple to buy a property in the mountains so we can be closer to the mountains and avoid the drive to Denver. We looked for properties for a while, and fell in love with this duplex at first sight. The easy access, views, and the amenities made it a perfect match to share the mountains and time with friends and family. Imaging waking up in Winter and being able to hit 6 different ski areas within 25 minutes, some of them only 5 minutes away... Free bus transportation is available for world renowned ski areas like Breckenridge or Keystone.

The location of the duplex is ideal for all sorts of outdoors activities (skiing, skating, sledding in winter, hiking, climbing, sailing on the nearby Lake Dillon, biking, canoeing, rollerblading in spring, summer and fall, for the occasional overcast day: shopping in the outlet stores, movie theaters, great dining, and for sight-seeing: The Majestic Rocky mountains all around, with places like Vail, Aspen, Leadville, Steamboat Springs, The Rocky Mountain National Park, Mount Evans, The Colorado Sand dunes, all in easy driving distance. Owner's Map of Other Wildernest Properties

We are a group of 4 people (two couples), who own the property for rental and for own use. We very much enjoy the mountains and all they have to offer, all year round. Our Children love to spend time in the "cabin", they have grown to be excellent skiers and mountaineers. And we love to share this opportunity with our friends and family.
