Map & Owner's Profile
Year Purchased: 2009
Why the Owner Chose Private Homes
We have been skiing the Colorado Mountains and enjoyed summers and fall for years. In 2009 we decided together with another couple to buy a property in the mountains so we can be closer to the mountains and avoid the drive to Denver. We looked for properties for a while, and fell in love with this duplex at first sight. The easy access, views, and the amenities made it a perfect match to share the mountains and time with friends and family. Imagine waking up in Winter and being able to hit 6 different ski areas within 25 minutes, some of them only 5 minutes away... Free bus transportation is available for world renowned ski areas like Breckenridge or Keystone.
The Unique Benefits at this House
The location of the duplex is ideal for all sorts of outdoors activities (skiing, skating, sledding in winter, hiking, climbing, sailing on the nearby Lake Dillon, biking, canoeing, rollerblading in spring, summer and fall, for the occasional overcast day: shopping in the outlet stores, movie theaters, great dining, and for sight-seeing: The Majestic Rocky mountains all around, with places like Vail, Aspen, Leadville, Steamboat Springs, The Rocky Mountain National Park, Mount Evans, The Colorado Sand Dunes, all in easy driving distance. And much more ....
Owner's Map of Private Homes
We are a group of 4 people (two couples), who own the property for rental and for own use. We very much enjoy the mountains and all they have to offer, all year round. Our Children love to spend time in the "cabin." They have grown to be excellent skiers and mountaineers, and we love to share this opportunity with our friends and family.

We had a wonderful time spending our Christmas Holiday here this year! We loved the location (so close to shopping, skiing and hiking)! This home has a great layout--very comfortable for family gathering yet plenty of space to retreat on your own. Everyting we needed was there. The owner was great with communication and getting our security deposit back was no problem We would love to stay there again!

A great summer break. The weather was fantastic and there is a ton to do in the Dillon area for families. The property was a good compromise - though it does not have the lure of a secluded mountain cabin, it was central and an easy drive to restaurants, the store, and activities. The management company was great in handling all issues and questions.

My husband and I rented this house with another couple last year and decided we are going to make it an annual trip! This is a fabulous house with all the amenities included. There is a great "mud room" located at the entrance of the house which is perfect for all of our ski gear and the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to make your favorite meal. We will continue to rent this house and know it is the perfect place for anyone who wants to be in the heart of the mountains without paying the price of staying at the resorts.

Our Christmas visit was wonderful! This was a great place for our family to gather in laughter and fun. The accommodations are lovely and everything was delightful. The home is inviting, warm, cozy and comfortable. The beds are incredibly comfortable, with fluffy warm comforters. Sooooooo hard to get up in the morning! We all slept like lambs! Even the blow up mattresses were comfortable, and had the same high quality linens available as the other beds. We gave the kitchen quite a workout, and enjoyed how nicely equipped it was. It was especially nice to have plenty of matching dishes, silverware, glasses and linens. Some kitchens seem to be furnished with leftover odds and ends that the owners have on hand, but not this place! Obviously a lot of thought has gone into making the kitchen a pleasureable place. We expanded the kitchen table and played board games and laughed until the wee hours near the fireplace. Our 94 year old grandmother was able to join in all the fun because she had her own bedroom and bathroom on the main level! I just can't say enough good things about staying here. I don't think it could be any nicer, and the owners were very easy to work with that the entire experience was a pleasure. We will be back. I hope your family is able to use this wonderful vacation home. I know that if you do, you'll be as happy with it as we were.

It is obvious that this home is taken care of - from modern and comfortable furnishings to a kitchen with all the amenities you would expect (and more!). We felt totally comfortable in this condo with our two young children (ages 2 and 4), and the extra inflatable mattresses came in handy when we had additional family join us for a couple of nights. The location is good, with easy access to all the major activities in the area.

We had a wonderful stay over President's day weekend. There were 6 of us, 4 grown-ups and 2 kids. The place was spacious and 2 bathrooms really helped to accommodate 6 people. The kitchen was very well equipped with very nice dishes, silverware and utensils. The kitchen must have gotten equipped by a person who loves to cook. We were very grateful that also zip-log bags were provided. This is usually an item I forget to bring and we like to prepare our own lunches. It was also delightful to have a big TV screen since that very weekend was also the opening night of the Winter Olympics in Vancouver. We would have ignored the TV under different circumstances, but it was great to have it there. Downhill ski areas are so close. We had a great stay and we will definitely consider this place again for one of our mountain escapes.

We enjoyed a wonderful weekend at the mountain condo. It is very comfortable, cozy and has a very pleasant atmosphere. There was plenty of room for the eight of us adults to stay and to really enjoy spending some time there. It's close to skiing and shopping. My husband and I would highly recommend staying here.
