Upon opening the door you are greeted by Mexican inspired decor and hand-carved, locally made furniture. The walls are finished in warm, colonial colors while the floors and counter-tops are accented with traditional hand-made tiles. The gentle hacienda appeal lends itself to a more laid-back and relaxed lifestyle, which makes our apartment a wonderful place to unwind after spending a day at the beach or exploring the back roads of Cabo.
Our apartment overlooks the exclusive Tortuga Bay Resort and offers you beautiful, nearly unobstructed views of the Sea of Cortes with sweeping vistas from Punta Palmilla up to Punta Gorda. The development itself is surrounded on three sides by The Grand Mayan Resort Golf Course so even when sitting out on the terrace there is a most secluded and intimate appeal. Being on the top floor of The Peninsula, our unit enjoys lush, balmy, tropical breezes that keep the atmosphere buoyant and enjoyable. However, for those times when humidity or heat closes-in the air-conditioners cool the entire unit in mere minutes.
While not adverse to accommodating children, our condominium is not equipped for the needs of an infant. The bedroom is furnished with an ample queen-size bed and the living room offers a futon-style convertible sofa. The convertible will comfortably sleep two adults or, perhaps, up to 3 children. While the bathroom is fitted with a roomy shower, like most Mexican residences, it DOES NOT have a bath tub so please keep this in mind when considering the necessities of your child.
The Peninsula is a PRIVATE and newly GATED community of 63 condominiums. It is lushly landscaped with flowering Bougainvillea and many species of fruit-bearing trees throughout it's welcoming exterior spaces. Villa 5, in particular, is immediately next to The Peninsula's Grand Palapa, immense infinity edge pool and rest-room/shower facilities, making it an ideal location for barbecuing and dining al fresco with your family and friends.

The Unique Benefits at this Condominium
Waking up just before dawn to watch the sky as the sun breaks the horizon. Sitting on the terrace in late afternoon with a mojito and listening to the sound of the waves as they come rolling in. Watching the whales play during their annual migration. Floating in our enormous pool. Chilling under the Grand Palapa with a cold cerveza while grilling some steaks on the BBQ. Driving the East Cape Road and discovering new beaches. Scuba diving at Cabo Pulmo. Making our way back home via the Palo Escopeta road and being blessed with the most furious shades of red, magenta, violet and orange as the sun sets in front of you. Snorkeling at Playa Santa Maria or Chileno Bay. Zip-lining up in the arroyo at Costa Azul. The February Art Festival in Todos Santos. The nightlife and glitz of San Lucas. The understated elegance of dining out followed by a stroll through the Art District in San Jose.
Between The Crown Plaza and Royal Solaris is a walk-way that leads directly to Bahia de San Jose. You can have select spa treatments and massages right there on the beach.
The Tower is open to the public and it houses a wonderful bar with AMAZING 360* views of San Jose and the ocean. At sunset it is definitely one of the most beautiful places to enjoy cocktails.
You can participate in the release of baby sea turtles into the ocean here. The historic Estuary has amazing wildlife/bird viewing.
Takes you out to the East Cape...a rugged and beautiful landscape of dunes, arroyos, ranches and mansions laying right next to the Sea of Cortes. You can visit MANY of Cabo's treasure from this road.
Don't be afraid. Go exploring. There are fantastic discoveries EVERYWHERE! There are great boutique hotels & restaurants, plus the 'La Playita' district and it's beautiful beach are here.
All Mexican beaches are public. You can drive right into The One and Only Palmilla Resort, park in the designated area at the shore and enjoy the beach. Just respect the privacy of other people.
On your way out to the East Cape for a day of exploration and beaches? Before you hit the beach, have breakfast here. The food's good. Really good.
Restaurants (limited hours but GREAT food). Diving. Snorkling. Swimming. The pro-shop is fully equipped and the guys are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. And remember...a tip goes a loooong way.
The fish tacos are a national treasure and the cervezas are good-n-cold...and the Thanksgiving turkey dinner is nothing short of bliss. Tell Joan that Bob, Jim & Mike from NY said "hello".
Yup, there's really a zoo in Santiago. Drive thru Santiago & thru an RV Camp to find the hot springs. Park and hike up into the hills to the source. It's really cool!
There's a cool little leather shop just around the corner from the Pemex Gas Station. Sometimes the inventory is plenty other times it's lean but everything is handmade and authentic.
Mega is a huge store. Offering produce, groceries, clothes, home goods, etc. The mall area looks out onto the ocean and has tons of small eateries. You'll be surprised by the quality and service!
Big screen televisions. Awesome burgers, ribs and insane shrimp cocktails!!!! Big Tony's offers surf board rental right there on the beach.
Just what you'd expect and better! Custom boards made to order, clothing, wet-suits, board rentals, lessons.
Another gorgeous day-trip. Art galleries. Craft shops. Restaurants. Hotels. Beaches. Surfing. The "Hotel California" is here. Everything is wonderful.
The galleries are many. From amber to paintings to sculpture to textiles...there is something for everyone. Old Town Gallery is one of our favorites. Come here on Thursday nights for the Art Walk.
A marina with restaurants and nightlife. A Mall w/a mini Rodeo Drive. Hard Rock Cafe, Ruth's Chris Steakhouse and Senor Sweets for dessert and helado. Charter fishing boats. So much to see and do!

This is the location of the main office for The Grand Mayan G.C. You can purchace your admission to the green here. The building also houses a state-of-the-art gym.
Located at the entrance to The Peninsula's street, Club La Costa is a highly visable landmark.
A beautiful colonial mission, water fountains, a cultural center are the flagship of San Jose del Cabo. People gather here in the evening, for entertainment, to meet before dinner or just to socialize
This protected cove with warm turquoise water & unique sand (it doesn't stick to you) is a favorite with eco-tours and charter boats because of the excellent swimming and snorkeling.
A beautiful, swimmable, family-beach with palapas. Restroom facilities are on site.
