We offer an elegantly furnished 2 bedroom garage apartment located in the farming community of Palmer. The views are incredible! It is like living up high in the trees, surrounded by mountains. The apartment has a spacious 900 square feet. We have a small 10 acre farm committed to raising vegetables and animals for our kid's education. Organic vegetables and berries are available at no extra charge when in season. Fresh eggs are available when in season. Mountains surround Palmer, as well as glaciers with easy access. Palmer is the most beautiful place I have ever been and is a small community.
We are very reasonably priced and have lower rates for the winter season.

Year Purchased: 2009
Tim was born and raised in Alaska. He is knowledgeable about hunting and fishing. He was an avid river rafter until getting married and having 5 children with his lovely wife, Cec. They started farming at an early age and moved to Palmer 10 years ago. They are involved heavily in the 4H community. Tim has built this apartment for intent of a VRBO.
Why the Owner Chose Palmer
This is the sun belt of Alaska, know for its rich farm lands, views of the mountains and glaciers. It is a small community where everyone knows your name.

We were recently in Palmer, AK to attend a 'destination wedding'. The Sleeping Inn Alaska provided a perfect base for wedding related activities and sightseeing. The 2 BDR / 1 BTH apartment was spacious, well laid out, modern, clean, well stocked and extremely comfortable with all the amenities you could hope for. The view of the mountains is just amazing - you would never tire of looking at it. Our hosts were extremely helpful and accommodating, especially with letting have quite a late checkout! We ate locally at the Noisy Goose, Turkey Red and Vagabond Blues - and enjoyed all our meals. Local attractions are too many to list - but Hatcher's Pass, the Matanuska Glacier, the Reindeer Farm and Salmon Fishing are all easily accessible. There's lots more to do in around the area, we just didn't have the time to take advantage of all that was on offer. Oh - have you ever eaten fresh picked raspberries? We picked them and ate them at Sleeping Inn Alaska. If ever we get the opportunity to visit Palmer again we know where we will be sleeping! Thanks to our hosts for enabling our great stay!

Our family of 5 could not have been happier during our recent stay at Sleeping Inn Alaska. Cec, Tim and their entire family were fantastic hosts during our stay. The 2br/1ba apartment located over a separated garage was clean, fully functional and very comfortable. The apartment included a full kitchen, full bath, full size washer/dryer and all of the amenities listed. Included in the apartment was a folder with extensive information on things to do and see in Alaska. Cec and Tim also shared their knowledge and experiences, providing additional in-depth information about the surrounding areas. Sleeping Inn Alaska is located in Palmer approximately 1 hour outside of Anchorage. While Palmer might be a little rural for strict city folks, there was plenty of shopping in town and in nearby Wasilla and its central location between Denali and Seward proved perfect for us. There was also plenty of activities close by to do including the Reindeer farm, Musk Ox farm, kayaking, hiking and plenty of sightseeing which included various glaciers, rivers, parks and mountain passes. We had planned on using our GPS to locate the place however after arriving we realized we didn't have Alaska maps included :( This was not a real problem though because Cec had already communicated in detail all of the information we needed to find their location. That in itself was another reason we chose to stay at Sleeping Inn Alaska... the communication was outstanding. We called a number of times and emailed even more and each time Cec and Tim happily took their time to answer all of our questions. When our vacation ended and we were headed home, the entire family was very happy we made the decision we did. We would not hesitate to stay again at Sleeping Inn Alaska not only because the apartment more than suited our needs but also because of the outstanding hospitality Cec, Tim and their children showed our family during our stay. Thanks again for a wonderful trip and vacation - our family will remember this for a long time.
