We went to Albuquerque to celebrate Mother's Day because my Mom lives there and is 97 year's old! I opted for a house instead of a hotel so we could visit with relatives and enjoy more space. The Casa was very charming - decorated in a pleasing southwestern style. Everything was clean and well maintained. Furniture was comfortable and attractive. The A/C worked perfectly so we were quite cozy during our stay. We enjoyed the outdoor patio and actually hosted a cocktail party there. It was catered by Blue Plate in QBQ and I highly recommend them. During our stay, we took the ABQ Trolley Tour and I highly recommend doing this is you would like a good overview of the City and it's very interesting history. Trolley leaves from Old Town. Carole, the owner, was very responsive from the initial contact throughout our stay. She and her husband, Ken, appear to take pride in their property and the result shows. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely Casa.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.
Owner response: Thank you for your review and the local tips. We'll take the Trolley tour next time we have guests and I'm so glad Blue Plate did a good job for you. See you again we hope.

We stayed in Casa Carolina during the Gathering of Nations, April 2013. We found this cozy home absolutely spic and span clean, very elegantly appointed and stocked with everything you could want. She even has the cable TV cued up to record the daily 5:30 p.m. news so that you can watch it whenever you pile back in from a day of shopping the wonderful Nob Hill area right around the corner! Some of the best food in the area is just blocks away. We brought back incredibly tasty wood oven baked pizza from around the corner to enjoy on the lovely private patio under the stars. Traveling with us were two single friends from Scotland who just could not get over how lovely, clean, cozy and comfortable the home was. Every bedroom had great closet space and ample room to stack sacks of treasures purchased in Santa Fe (only 50 minutes up I 25!); the kitchen was roomy with wonderful appliances; sunny windows opened for a lovely breeze and the private off-street parking was definitely a big plus! If we are fortunate enough to visit Albuquerque in the future, Casa Carolina will be our first pick for lodging. Carol is a gem to work with. One of our favorite places we've found on HomeAway!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you for your review. This makes our hard work worthwhile as our goal is to provide a wonderful place for our guests to enjoy their vacations.

This charming home has everything! The Nob Hill location is perfect-an easy walk to restaurants, shops and the UNM campus. The owners have included every detail that made our stay so satisfying. The home was clean and well maintained. The kitchen is well-stocked so easy to work in. The home is comfortable and the set up is perfect for a family. There are so many ways to use different areas of the home so early risers and nappers can find a cosy quiet spot. The back patio is a perfect spot for a quiet breakfast or family dinner. We loved every minute we spent here and would love to go back...often. It's the perfect home away from home. Check out the food trucks, Slice, Marble Brewery, OLO, Tractor, Flying Star and do come for the Balloon Festival. Our grandchildren loved the zoo, biopark, aquarium and the playgrounds and parks.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you for your review. We are so glad you enjoyed our home and hope you'll stay with us again some time.

Casa Carolina met all of our expectations: Beautifully appointed, spanking clean and easily accessible to Nob Hill dining and shopping, just one street over! With three adults in our group, the keypad entry allowed each of us to come and go on our own schedules without worrying who had the key. The backyard enclosed courtyard was a perfect spot for morning coffee, and the delightfully appointed kitchen is a real benefit.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, girls getaway.
Owner response: So glad you had a great time. We also enjoy having morning coffee in the courtyard. Thank you for your review.

The house was great. It was cute, clean, well appointed and in a great location. I was especially thankful for the baby gate to block the stairs that lead down to the master, as well as the high chair. We did have to move several ornamental pieces of glass, but after that the house was very comfortable for our family, which includes two young children. The owner responded quickly to all e-mail communication and was very helpful throughout the process.Owner response: We also stay in vacation rentals when we travel and it's great when they have everything one needs. That's our goal with our home. Glad you enjoyed it. Hope you come back.

We came to ABQ for a week so my husband and his friend could cycle for the week and the girls could enjoy the great food, jewelry and scenery of the area. We have family nearby but didn't want to be a bother with bikes and extra people so we were looking for a small, convenient casa for the week. This surely fit the bill. Carol was a great hostess, very responsive to queries and full of local knowledge. The house is super-convenient to route 66/Central Ave, I-25, I-40 and the ABQ sunport. Husband and Friend used the local bike lanes to cycle from the house clear to the top of Sandia Peak and back. The house itself was great. Two full baths, three nice bedrooms, cozy kitchen and very comfortable living area. The back yard was great to sit out in on a beautiful sunny day and since the yard is fenced in provided a great spot for bike storage and cleaning. We enjoyed our stay very, very much.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: We're so glad you enjoyed our home. We are also bikers and enjoy the easy access to wonderful Albuquerque bike paths. Hope you'll stay with us again.

My two friends and I landed in Casa Carolina in the evening of Valentine's Day. Two of us came from Sacramento and one from Louisville. As soon as we walked in, we knew it was going to be a lovely, comfortable place for our stay in ABQ. **word of note** Do not try to order food delivery from any place in ABQ on Valentine's Day. We ended up with a Dominos Pizza. Nuff said! This casa was precisely as described and wonderful clean and ready for us. The three of us worked very hard to find something we needed that was not there. Eventually, we succeeded! There was NO shot glass. LOL We bought one and left it there. I promise you cannot go wrong with staying here. It is a beautiful house, so perfect in many ways. I hope we left it in great condition for those following us in the same day we left.Owner response: I'll start by apologizing for the oversight, how could we forget shot glasses? :0) We are so glad you enjoyed our home and hope you'll return. It was left in great condition. Thanks

We spent a whole month at Casa Carolina and loved it. The house is beautiful and well maintained, and the location cannot be beat in ABQ. You are close to the university and many great resaurants (Two Fools, Los Cuates). The casa has a particularly well equiped kitchen. All pictures and info about the house on VRBO are accurate. We plan to return to Casa Carolina for another visit in the future.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Thank you for choosing our home and we look forward to your return.

We will be back.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: We are so glad it was perfect for you and we will continue to look for ways to make it better. Hope you'll return some time.
