Spring Branch TX Vacation on Golf Course
VRBO Bear stayed here - 08/12/2011
I enjoyed a very nice weekend getaway at this spacious hideaway in the Texas Hill Country. The home is big enough for the whole family and even has a crib and highchair for little cubs. It features a fully equipped kitchen and outdoor grill, as well as a luxurious master bathroom. The property is close to San Antonio (25 min drive) in a small town called Spring Branch, but far enough away from the big city for some great peace and quiet. Located in a beautiful neighborhood, the home is within walking distance to a golf course and a just short drive away from a private park that offers a beautiful picnic area and gives access to the Guadalupe River. The river is great for tubing to stay cool during the hot Texas summer.
The views of the Hill Country from the private park and from the back balcony off the master bedroom are truly a sight to behold. You’ll also want to take in the colorful sunsets and relax in this large home away from home.

Fabulous spot for birthday group

8 of us aged 31 - 66 gathered to celebrate a friend's 60th birthday. The house is lovely, spacious and has every necessary amenity. We loved the outside seating areas, the big kitchen den combo which was great for gathering, the lovely large round dining table and the very comfortable beds. This house exceeded our expectations. Although the house is in the midst of other houses, we felt as if we were in the midst of the country with nothing in our views except nature and no concerns that our laughing would bother anyone else. The owner was very helpful and the entire process was well managed. We would defnitely rent again!!

This is a beautiful home in a wonderful subdivision. The ammenities are second to none and the owner is wonderful to work with. I had to call her twice to ask a question and she always answered right away or within 10 minutes of my contacting her. Email response when booking was fast too. Do not pass this house up if you think it is too far from San Antonio. It is a quick 20-30 minute drive down 281 to the airport and downtown SanAntonio. Shopping is about 10 minutes away or 30 minutes to all the malls downtown. The kitchen is fantastic and every bedroom was beyond comfortable with heavy curtains if you wanted to sleep in. The proches and balconies were so nice to sip coffee while watching the sun rise. There were plenty of bathrooms to accomodate the number of bedrooms and all the extras Therese has in the house came in handy. There were games, movies and floats to name a few. The huge round dining table was great fun for dinners and the house was surprisingly kid friendly. I would have definately stayed forever if I could have. The hill country is a wonderful place to stay if you are looking to have a get together that is not downtown SanAntonio but has quick access to everything. The private access to the Guadalupe river that came with the house would have been great but the river was too low due to lack of rain. Instead we hit Sea World (apx 1 hr away) and Schlitterbahn (15 minutes). I would definately recommend this house and its owner to anyone looking to visit SanAntonio.

Great Girls Getaway!

I along with eight other ladies had a getaway for 3 days to shop, fellowship and rest. The last couple of years we have stayed in Austin and rented a house. This year we decided to stay closer to San Antonio (San Marcos outlet)…..we are glad that we did! The house surpassed our expectations; the pictures are only a tiny glimpse of this retreat. The house is very spacious and accommodating and is simply beautiful. All of us were pleased and raved about the space and being able to getaway to our room(s) and rest without being disturbed by others. I had the pleasure of being in the master bedroom……OMG…..a retreat in itself. The beds were very comfortable and we were very impressed with the inventory and quality of the kitchen dinner/cookware, and household supplies. The house is gorgeous, and is in a perfect location in a very quiet neighborhood. Perfect house for a perfect girl’s getaway! We will definitely be coming back. Thank you for your professionalism and promptness when we had questions.

Great Family Get-away

We had the best time on our family get-away! With our kids being in different locations in Texas, your home was a beautiful and comfortable location for us to share a few days together! This was the perfect solution to our family travels! We were able to visit and have fun, instead of the parents having to return to a hotel room for the kids' naps and early bedtimes. We love to cook, and the kitchen & outdoor grill had everything we needed. The availability to the river enabled us to have a little fishing with the grandkids, and river-fun for the adult kids. While we had activities in San Antonio, coming back to a secluded, peaceful home was refreshing - no sounds of traffic! Therese was wonderful to work with, and the home was everything advertised and more! Your home was perfect for our family, and we had the best time together! I highly recommend this home and this idea for family travel!

First off the house was amazing very spacious and accomodating. This was my first time using Homeaway.com and I have say I think I will strongly question weather or not I will stay in a hotel again. Overall it just makes sense when having a get away with freinds or family to all be in the same residence. The views and the drive up were just breathtaking. My party spent most on the time on the beautiful Canyon Lake wake boarding and surfing and a little golf. At night we took advantage of the cool weather and grilled out and played poker. Overall this property lived up to everything it promised and I would recommend this property to anybody who is looking for a relaxing get away. Thanks again to the owners and I will be seeing you again soon.

My friends and I had a wonderful time in this lovely home. The location was perfect for our planned activities in San Antonio and the Hill Country. Our flight home was canceled due to weather and the home owner graciously and effortlessly made an extra night's stay possible. We would recommend this home as a perfect place to stay in the San Antonio area.

We rented this beautiful, well-maintained (immaculate!) home near San Antonio for 12 days over the Christmas/New Year holiday. The pictures just show some of the home--but there is so much more. A fully-equipped kitchen was available for our holiday cooking, plenty of room for everyone (including an upstairs lounge with TV and pullout couch), and terraces with magnificent views. We had 9 guests ranging from 17 months to 88 years--and there was something for everyone. There was a first floor bedroom for our grandmother with its own private bathroom, and a cozy crib for our son. He slept so well in that crib, not sure if it was the home or the cool Texan evening breeze! The house also had a ton of toys for our son, a high chair, and a monitor so we were able to pack a lot less. The home has so much Texan charm—no matter from where you are traveling, you’ll be transported! Since we lived in San Antonio for a year, we were familiar with the area—the Riverwalk, San Marcos, great restaurants (there are MANY) so that was helpful, but the owner had a list of recommendations and nearby activities that would be very helpful for a first timer. The area where the house is located has a lot of wonderful homes and we took strolls around the neighborhood. We all felt very safe and at home. We would love to go back another time, hopefully in the summer so we can enjoy all of the outdoor activities in the surrounding areas. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

We definitely enjoyed our stay in your beautiful home. The hardest part of the entire trip was leaving. Having the baby crib and high chair in the home made our visit a lot less stressful. My one year old slept just as he does at our own home. The views were amazing and the kiddos loved to roam around the property. The home had everything we could have hoped for and more. All we really needed to bring were our clothes! Thank you so much for everything! We will be returning next year. The Garver Family
