Hargadine House was built in 1864, and it still has its unique farmhouse character. It is 1305 sq feet, with one double bedroom downstairs and a double and a twin upstairs.
The kitchen also has an espresso maker and a full compliment of condiments, serving dishes and candles.
The clawfoot tub is glorious, especially when the moon is shining on the water or after a long drive.
Sitting on top of the east ridge of Lithia Park the property has splendid views of the Rogue Valley and the mountains. There is ample shade provided by Bert and Ernie, the two 150 year old oak trees that live on the property.
527 Terrace is a one minute drive to downtown, and an easy twenty minute walk. However, it is a 25 minute walk back as you are going up hill. You can walk or drive to the theater and town via Lithia Park. Terrace St meets Ashland Loop Rd 1 block south of the house and that takes you down the hill to the back of the park.

- Suitability
- No Pets Allowed: We have many deer roaming the ridgetop and prefer not to scare them off. I saw a mama bear and two cubs on in the front yard in 2008 and we know they eat our apples.
- Handicapped Accessible (may have limitations): The ground floor is just two steps up so the downstairs is pretty accessible. The old doorways are narrow so wheelchairs have a hard time.

Why the Owner Chose Ashland
I grew up visiting Ashland every summer, attending the Oregon Shakespeare Festival with my parents. I carried on the tradition by bringing my children. This has always been a peaceful place and I looked for my home here for many years, with part of our "Ashland ritual" being a drive thru town to see what was for sale. I found 527 Terrace and knew I had found the spot. My only problem now is that I can't be here full time. I am happy to be sharing this house with you, and hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
