Enjoy sunsets and panoramic, 180 degree views of the Florida Bay from the balconies of this newly-constructed (CBS construction completed in 2005) 3 bd/2.5 bath home located in the quiet fishing community of Hammer Point at MM 93 just 60 miles from Miami and 90 miles from Key West. This home offers easy ocean access -- just minutes from Tavernier Creek -- and sits on wide, deep water swimming canals. Relax in one of the many hammocks around the property or take a swim in the refreshing in-ground pool. A double Kayak and bikes are available for your use as well as a charcoal BBQ grill. 3 bedrooms plus two bathrooms are on the first level and the great room/kitchen/ bar and 1/2 bath are on the top floor with wrap around balconies. Pets under 30 lbs. are welcome and this house is kid friendly (we have three kids!) and loaded with board games, movies, and Nintendo systems. There is a state-of-the-art stereo system wired in every room and flat screen TV's in most of the rooms.
The home was constructed in 2005 and, as you can see from the pictures, no expense was spared. Impact doors and windows throughout; top level had sliding glass doors on three walls that open up all of the walls like a beach house; stainless steel appliances; granite tops; wood and slate floors; dumbwaiter; stereo system in each room; and inverted layout (the living area is on the top level to maximize the views of the Bay). This is one of the coolest places you'll see in the Keys in one of the best areas (right in between Key Largo and Islamorada)!
Beds: 1 King in the Master bedroom, 2 Dbl beds in one bedroom, plus two double pull out sofas, one in the third bedroom and one in the upstairs living room.
Dock space is available but with a 22' limit on boat size. Please inquire. All water vessels must be approved prior to signing contract.

Had the pleasure of spending 4 nights in this FANTASTIC home! We were all VERY pleased with the TERRIFIC PANORAMIC VIEWS, the warmth and openness of the entire home. You will not want to leave the upstairs room as you would not want to miss the SUNSETS!!!! Very KID FRIENDLY. They enjoyed seeing the manatees and huge tarpons! We preferred to grill out and enjoy the home as opposed to eating out!! Would highly recommend!!Recommended for: Pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

What's not to like! We had 43 days (30 at this property) and 1 day of rain, with temps typically in the 80's. This allowed the true value of this place to really shine.....the ability to open up three sides of the third floor living area to the nicest panoramic views we have seen in a while. Many hours were spent watching the resident manatees and tarpon from the decks on the second floor (bedrooms) and third floor. In the land of single/double wides either raised or not, this house stands alone. There were many nights when we just decided to stay in and dine on the deck or just inside rather than go to the many fine resturants in the area. Sunset became a must see event simply because of the view from this house. My father (a well traveled 92yo WWII navy vet) said they were the nicest he has ever seen. Everything in the house is as depicted in the photos and description. It is well situated in the area with easy access to just about everything. The owner was readily accessible and immediately took care of some minor descrepiencies. Overall ...this is a very comfortable, attractively decorated home and we highly recommend it. We will be back.Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

My husband, daughter and I had an incredible vacation at this house in Hammer Point. The house was decorated beautifully and truly had the most beautiful sunset views,I hated to miss them if we were out for the evening. The area was convenient to everything and Natalie gave some great recommendations for restaurants in the area. Really enjoyed Marker 88 for dinner the first night. We had our boat with us and found it a short and relaxing ride thru Tavernier Creek to get the Atlantic and after each day of diving, fishing, or snorkeling, we came back to the perfect size pool to cool off with a drink in hand. The desciption and pictures of this house are extremely accurate and we will definetly come back to stay in the future. Thank you for a great vacation!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We truly enjoyed this house!! Excellent area for boating and close to everything!! The neighborhood was great for walking my small dog....After a hard day fishing, outstanding fish cleaning station and the pool was an extra special treat!! The wide clean, canal was nice to swim in with some manatee action... we had a great time!! we will be back!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

The house was in a perfect location, had many many amenities to make the stay feel very much like you were "at home". The appliances are top of the line, the modern granite kitchen was gorgeous and the VIEWS! WOW! Almost hated to leave! Comment Text: Excellent location to enjoy beautiful sunsets and time out on the water! The views from the house were spectacular; especially great from one of several hammocks. This house had all the amenities of home including, but not limited to: lots of board games, great space for entertaining, stereo speakers wired throughout and beautiful, comfortable decorations. About the owner: My husband, myself and our three boys are Miami residents who vacation at our home away from home as often as we can. It is an easy drive, just an hour from Miami, and it is truly paradise. Once you cross over the Jewfish Creek bridge and see the crystal clear waters of the Atlantic Ocean, you are nearly home. We hope you enjoy it as much as our family does.
Why the Owner Chose Tavernier:
We chose to buy this property because we wanted a nice getaway vacation spot to enjoy some relaxation with our three children away from the hectic pace of Miami. Our house is just an hour drive from Miami and less than 2 hours from Key West. We had a previous home in Key Largo, but we found ourselves driving to Islamorada (25 minutes) too often. Living in Islamorada is too far from Miami, so this place -- in Tavernier -- is right in the middle of Key Largo and Islamorada. The community is very small and cozy (only 200 homes), so it's very nice for biking or walking your dog. The canals have crystal blue water and are known as 'swimming canals.' There is no better location.

There are bikes and a kayak available for you to use as well. Take a dip in the refreshing in ground pool or relax in a hammock.
