We needed a last minute vacation rental, found this one and it was perfect. Felt like home. Tucked away in the redwoods but still close to everything including the beach. Love this place!!

Owner response:Glad you enjoyed your stay. We too feel that it's a great location. It feels like your in the mountains, but just a short drive to the beach. You really do get the best of both worlds. Thanksgiving 2010 "Gobble Gobble"!! Albert & Marsal, This cottage was exactly what we needed for our getaway. Thank you for making this home so warm and cozy! From day one, all I could think was, "I never want to leave!!" But alas, the time has come...we look forward to returning to Aptos and Santa Cruz and will definitely stay at The Pineapple Express.

Thank you for this charming little retreat- quiet, peaceful, and exactly what my husband, my daughter and I needed. We were here during nearly 100 degree temperatures. Spent time at The Boardwalk then returned to the cool temps here. I really hope to return soon.

Our stay at your adorable cottage was wonderful! I grew up with friends who had beach houses in Aptos and it was finally nice to see the heavily wooded and mysterious side of the area. Lots of animals and banana slugs! This was also our first time taking our toddler overnight anywhere and she did great! Thanks again! Cheers!

What a great Birthday retreat! We had a fabulous stay at your cozy cottage! The fireplace was used and enjoyed every evening, and we loved to look out of all the wonderful windows and catch nature and it's creatures "in-the-act"! Love your place...want one of my own! Thanks.

Words alone cannot express the relaxing atmosphere this cottage exudes. From the moment we walked in the front door, our eyes were drawn to the cozy, but spacious main living area. We set the thermostat and instantly the beautiful stone fireplace was was warming us on a blustery day. Every modern convenience was at hand and the decor was lovely and tasteful. The numerous windows allow plenty of light and gazing into the forest makes you feel as if you are in a treehouse! Our weekend was spent reading, and trying out nearby restaurants. The beach is just a quick five minute drive away. Albert and Marsal, we just love your cottage and all your special touches!! A perfect get-a-way!!

Precious time spent with our kids. Laughter and joy has filled this home. We give thanks for your beautiful mountain home. Our hearts were filled with gratitude as we looked out the picture windows to see the magnificient redwoods. The maple leaves were falling gracefully from the sky as they fell down upon our childrens head. We spent time together playing games, cooking, at the beach at night, and hiking at Nisene Marks State Park. We love the quiet solitude found here where we can meditate upon all that we are thankful for and the fullness of our lives. Bless you Albert & Marsal and your beautiful home!
