My husband and I stayed here for three nights with our miniature Doxie and wish we could have stayed longer. The views from this cabin are breath taking. Perfect for a relaxing stay and close enough to all of the attractions. We were very impressed with how clean the cabin and area around it.

Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, pet owners, age 55+, families with young children.

Perfect, Perfect, Perfect. That is what we kept repeating over and over again. The cabin exceeded our expectations by a country mile. From the scenic drive to the cabin, as we walked up to the door and stepped inside seeing the roomy, well appointed interior. It's all in the details and the owners have not missed a thing. It was everything we were looking for and more! The fantastic view from the wrap around porch was the perfect place to relax and unwind, whether from the hot tub, porch swing or rocking chairs. And although there is a cabin above and one below you still have privacy. The loft bedroom with a very comfortable king size bed and an amazing view of the smokies was wonderful to wake up to every morning. We had a visit from a racoon, and more songbirds than you can imagine and we even saw some lightning bugs. The location is very convenient to almost anything you may want to do. Do I reccomend this cabin? Absolutely! I only hesitate because if everyone finds out how perfect it is it will be extremely difficult to get reservations.LOL!

WOW! Upon entering the door we were just as mesmerized as many of your prior guests by the impressive and scenic view. We also traveled to reduce the stress and strain of work, every day life, and a very long winter season. We needed something that would accomodate our beloved toy fox terrior, Ginger, as well. Since our children are grown and gone we spend as much time with her as we can since she's approaching nine years old. Once our reservations had been made we had another thought. We invited my parents (83 & 81 yrs. young) since they hadn't been on a vacation in many years. They hesitated at first but finally agreed. We traveled down well and safely. God is good! Denny and my father went fishing(not much luck, but who cares, right?). We did the Roaring Fork auto drive which we all highly enjoyed. We took in the sights of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg mostly by car. All 4 of us have visited the Smoky Mountains before (several times) and were happy to re-visit the well known Park. Imagine our surprise on Friday April 8th when 1.5 hours before midnight the federal gov't. came to an agreement that would allow us to continue since they weren't going to shut it down! Yeah! This has been a time of bonding and renewel as well as enjoying our time together. We did not expect 85 to 90 degree temps. but the cabin was a welcome place with use of the a/c. We had fantastic food (cooked here) and many euchre matches. Ginger especially loved watching (and potentially chasing) the squirrels. This has been an amazing experience and a respite from our weariness. The vista as viewed from the deck added a much needed "blanket" for our souls as well. As is the common theme from all who venture here, "We will be back" and "This place is awesome!!" We also appreciated the pool table. You could hear the sound of "cracking" and "racking"! The decor is fabulous and rustic at the same time. Thank you for providing this experience, one that will last a lifetime and produce many "remember whens"! Blessings to all who enter here. This cabin exceeded our expectations in so many different ways! We were thrilled when we opened the door for the first time. It just looked perfect! The view is lovely and everything we needed was there. Our three night stay was such a pleasure and so restful! We also loved the easy check-in/check-out and the simple reservation process. We have already started recommending the cabin to our friends and family, and plan to return in the future.

We spent an amazing four nights at Mountain View! I have stayed in at least 10 different cabins in the area and this one was on par with the best (especially considering the view and the price). When you've stayed in as many cabins as I have you learn to appreciate things like a well-appointed kitchen, plenty of towels, paper products, cleanliness, easy check in and out, etc. I also really liked the fact that there weren't any cabins right next to Mountain View, it really felt secluded (there are cabins above and below). The deck is HUGE and the view is more spectacular than in looks in the picture. For us the cabin was the perfect distance from Pigeon Forge, about 10 minutes. We spent time hiking during the day and then came "home" to have dinner, sit in the hot tub, watch movies and play pool. I would recommend this cabin for a couple, a small family or close friends. The main floor of the cabin is basically one open room with a full bath and a sofabed. Upstairs is a large open loft-style bedroom with a large sitting area and another full bath. We loved the layout, but it does not provide for much privacy if that is something you are looking for.
