The Stables is a three bedroom converted stable block which has been lovingly restored to provide the highest standard of self catering accommodation in a peaceful and tranquil setting. This beautiful, award winning, four star self catering accommodation is just 30 minutes from the airport and 60 minutes from the ports, this is the ideal location to explore the wealth of historic sites in this Royal County.
The courtyard is surrounded by beautiful parkland countryside and is a perfect retreat for those who wish to get away from it all and recharge their batteries. It is an ideal choice for families wishing to organize family reunions. It is also ideal for groups of friends who want to holiday together. There is a day spa on site where you can enjoy luxurious face or body treatments from our highly qualified therapist Louise.
Guests can avail of the playground, the “den” with a comfortable sitting area, wood burning stove, satellite TV, DVD/Video player and a library of DVD’s and videos and board games as well as an outdoor play area for children. Upstairs there is a games area for older children with pool table and air hockey as well as a gym with treadmill, cross trainer, bike and weights. Children are welcome to feed the ducks, chickens or the goat, and maybe even bottle feed the lambs, and there are always eggs to be collected! Should you be arriving late, what could be nicer than having a hot meal ready for you. If you require this service this can be arranged.
The obvious attractions of Newgrange, which had over 450,000 visitors last year, Tara, Trim and Slane castles are literally on your door here but the cottages themselves are attraction enough.
The Stables is set in a beautifully restored courtyard and sleeps 6 people. It is fitted out to the highest of standards with en suite bathrooms, marble finishes, oak floors with under floor geothermal heating, spacious living quarters and granite worktops set in skillfully-crafted, elegant kitchens.
The Stables is heated by an ingenious, environmentally friendly, geothermal heat source, the light bulbs conserve energy and recycling-conscious guests are are fully catered for.
The sense of healthy relaxation can be only added to by the scenery and the fact that cars are not allowed into the courtyard for the safety of any children guests.
In our day spa Revive, our aim is to provide you with the best possible products and treatments available today. Our professional, friendly staff are trained to deliver a unique and memorable experience in the relaxed surroundings of Decoy Country Cottages. At Revive, we have chosen to use Dermalogica products because they use only the ?nest ingredients available. They are free from artificial colors and fragrances and are friendly to the environment. They are not tested on animals and are currently the most requested professional-use-only skin product in the world."

My name is Paula Irwin and this is me receiving an award in 2008 from Meath tourism for Decoy Country Cottages. I am a dentist by profession but have temporarily sidelined my career to convert the stable mews beside the house where I live with my husband and three children.
Why the Owner Chose Navan
We chose to convert the stable block beside our house in to holiday accommodation because we felt that was a lack of luxurious accommodation available to rent by holiday makers and having children ourselves, we realized that hotels are unsuitable for families traveling.

27/08/2008 We had such a wonderful time in Ireland, but our favourite place here was Decoy! Everything was first rate. The Den was awesome, the animals were a complete joy. We will miss the place tremendously and would highly recommend it. The accommodation was beyond our expectations.
