A Beautiful, Uniquely Private Nantucket location for your next Nantucket holiday! Freshly renovated home, centrally located to everything on the island with every convenience inside. This house was just spaciously redesigned. This home is on crystal clear well water, from an aquifer deep beneath the island. The house is cooled by new energy efficient AC units, complemented by Casablanca ceiling fans for maximum comfort inside.
The forest setting for this home is delightful, at the end of a newly paved road. The home has a gorgeous park like setting enveloping the house with lots of flowers, hydrangeas and mature trees. The closest beach is Surfside Beach, a 1 mile flat easy bicycle ride on a new bike path adjacent to the house. You can also take shortcut on a mountain bike thru the Nantucket State Forest path to the beach. The Nantucket State Forest may soon be home to a brand new Frisbee Golf course, currently in the planning stages, it may be ready by summer.
The recent renovation project has tripled the upstairs space- two large attic areas were each converted into huge bedrooms with double dormer windows on the back side of the house. The old central part of the upstairs was completely remodeled into large second living room with a small loft / office area at the top of the stairs. All of the flooring throughout the entire house was replaced by red oak flooring, with the exception of the two upstairs bedrooms, which both have new plush cream carpeting. The two upstairs bedrooms share a large bathroom, with a dual vanity, tub & shower. The master bedroom/ nanny suite/ or grandparents suite downstairs has its own beautiful blue and white tiled private bathroom with white bead board, a bath tub, shower, pedestal sink.
The kitchen has all new stainless steel top of the line appliances, including a Wolfe oven and stove, stainless steel double door refrigerator with ice and filtered water on the front and a Bosch stainless steel dishwasher. The washer and dryer, also new, are located in the unfinished basement.
Outside, there are large back porches, a fully enclosed warm water shower, a covered deck area adjacent to an open deck area for sunning. The front of the house has a large front porch for relaxing and enjoying the trees on nearly a 1 acre lot surrounded by split rail fencing, privacy fencing or trees along the perimeter. Store your bikes in a handcrafted bicycle rack. Large 5 foot hydrangeas wrap around the front of the house, along with dogwoods, lilac, rhododendrons, butterfly bushes, scattered among tall pine trees for quiet and privacy. The driveway is a winding driveway made of crushed seashells, lined with belgian blocks just off a newly paved road. The Nantucket State Forest with bike and hiking trails is a stones throw from the end of the driveway. NOTE: ***Owners have also managed another Nantucket vacation rental home for the last 12 years known as Boomerang, with many happy returning guests, year after year.

Why the Owner Chose Surfside
We liked the location adjacent to the Nantucket State Forest, terrific wooded area with pine pathways thru the forest makes it feel just like being at summer camp. We heard that a World Class Frisbee golf course MAY be installed this winter in the nearby Nantucket State Forest, just steps from the house, we have our fingers crossed that this project is approved. The State Forest is beautiful.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Being able to bike thru the forest to the beach, or you can walk to a health club that allows weekly memberships. You can walk to Annies, an all natural grocery store, two terrific restaurants, plus a salon and spa, as well as an & ATM at Nantucket Bank -all a short walk away, yet the house is in a wooded private setting on almost 1 full acre. The is a shuttle bus stop by a restaurant nearby, shuttles run into town from 7am-11pm in summer about every 20 minutes for $1. Bike paths by the house and the road the house is on are brand new, bike path starts just a about 1/10 mile from the end of the driveway. Bicycle lovers could easily stay at this house without a car.
