"CLAMALOT" is a well loved, immaculate and spaciously designed summer home in a beautiful, private, and very pleasant location, all ready for your next island holiday! You can check in any day of the week you want! We are flexible on arrival and departure dates, which means you can avoid arrivals and departures on the weekend if you would like. One clean, well behaved dog MAY be permitted-NOTE: heavily shedding breeds and puppies are not permitted, please call owner if you would like us to consider your dog.
"CLAMALOT" is a newly renovated home, and super clean inside, with new beds, new furnishings, and all new appliances. Our home is centrally located to everything on the island & just a short walking distance to an organic grocery store, Fairgrounds restaurant, & Nantucket bank. There is high speed internet WiFi, so bring your laptop. Inside is fully air conditioned, along with Casablanca ceiling fans for maximum comfort. Gourmet cooks will love the kitchen and outside grilling area, too!
The property is wooded, almost 1 full acre with a yard and creatively landscaped as a private a park. There is crushed seashell private entrance, which begins at the end of a newly paved road. A new bike path is 1/10 mile away, & will connect to Surfside bike path. For those who want to vacation without a car, this island location is a cyclists treasure yet to go to town you can ride The Wave, an shuttle 3/10 mile from the house. The WAVE offers trips to town, every 30 min for $1.
The yard is bordered by split rail fencing, plenty of large grassy areas for playing, plus a rear privacy fence with privit & leyland cypress insuring additional privacy. The beautiful gardens include hydrangeas, decorative tall grasses, red maples, blue spruce, blueberry bushes, rosa rugusa, butterfly bushes, lavendar, ornamental crab trees, seasonal flowers along with some very old large pine trees to hang your hammock from for a nap.
Bedrooms: There are three bedrooms. First, the downstairs master bedroom has a new King size bed and its own private bath. Upstairs, two large bedrooms upstairs, one with a Queen size bed and the other bedroom has three twins. Most of the house has new hardwood flooring with the exception of the two new upstairs bedrooms, which are carpeted.
Bath areas: Upstairs bathroom has a large vanity double sink, plus tub/shower. Main floor master bedroom has a tub/shower, thre is a fully enclosed outside warm water shower. Inside there is a downstairs powder room.
Aside from the main living room, kitchen, a full dining room, the kitchen has all new stainless steel top of the line appliances, a Wolfe oven, stainless steel double door refrigerator with ice and filtered water on the front and stainless steel dishwasher. The washer and dryer are new, both located in the unfinished basement. Plenty of games and movies are available for rainy day entertainment, along with satellite TV, and movies galore.
The Nantucket State Forest with bike and hiking trails is a stones throw from the end of the driveway. The homeowners are well seasoned landlords, as they also managed another Nantucket vacation rental home for 12 years with many happy returning guests, year after year.

Clamalot is the second home we have owned on Nantucket.. Our first cottage, named "Boomerang" has sold, but it had 10 years of many happy returning families every summer. Dozens of positive guest comments from Boomerang are available upon request.
Why the Owner Chose Miacomet
A very quiet location with a beautifully landscaped yard -its a bit like being at summer camp. Developing the landscaping & creating the garden areas was quite the challenge initally, yet its been a very enjoyable creative process to see the yard & gardens unfold. This is a well loved property, with dramatic improvements each year inside and out.
The Unique Benefits of this House
Bicycling on Nantucket is great, from the house, one can bike thru the forest to the beach in about 10 minute, its a 5 min walk to a small organic grocery store & walking distance to two terrific restaurants, a salon/ spa, and bank, yet the house is in a wooded quiet private setting on almost 1 full acre. There is a shuttle bus stop at the end of our road, island shuttles run into town approx every 20-30 min, from 7am-11pm for $1.
