Family weekend in Prescott

My wife, 2 year old daughter, and I met our daughter's grandparents and uncle in Prescott for a 4 day weekend. We stayed at the "Cottage in the Pines" (VRBO # 262790), and had a fabulous time. The house is located in a forested hilly section of town, minutes from downtown, in a quiet neighborhood. The house is very nice, with new furniture, stocked kitchen, and wireless high-speed internet. We cooked all meals in-house, and did not eat out once. The back yard is fantastic for relaxing, napping, and play for both 2 year-olds, uncles, & grandparents: Pine trees, flowers, terraced sitting areas, and a fantastic porch for sitting or meals. The garage housed my father's boat trailer with room to spare. Marty was fantastic with email contact, answering any/all of my questions quickly. One problem - the pictures on VRBO website do not do this house justice. The property was clean, and very well maintained. The interior is spacious and more comfortable than the pictures demonstrate. The back patio and back yard area is not shown in the pictures, and was a main feature for our family, spending most daylight hours and meals in the back yard. I would recommend this home for 4-6 people visiting Prescott, looking for a great house to spend most of the time, and being located close to downtown.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, pet owners, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.

This is a very comfortable house in a great area. The fenced and private back yard was wonderful! The house was clean, well maintained, and although not fancy, very nice. The town of Prescott is such fun with good restaurants and shopping and it is close to some diverse recreation areas. The people are some of the friendliest we've ever encountered.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, sightseeing, tourists without a car, pet owners, age 55+, girls getaway, families with young children.

Marty really helped us very much as we transitioned our mother from living independently to moving to a memory care facility. Her place was very well decorated, appealing to many. My brothers and sister visited mom at her temporary home and loved the place. This place feels very private, as it is located in the trees, but it is a mile away from the center of town. Beautiful and comfortable.
