This is a new 2 story / 2 separate apartment unit that we built as our guest house. It is located 1.5 miles from Atenas in the luxury gated community of Hacienda Atenas. The lower unit is available for daily/weekly rental when our friends and relatives are not visiting. We built it to be very private, comfortable and charming. It does not have heat, nor AC. However, when you live in the best rated climate in the world, you don't need it. The way the house is positioned there is a cooling breeze at all times making it very comfortable.
The apartment has a large queen bedroom with a sliding door to the covered patio and large built-in closet. The roomy kitchen/dining/living area is fully equipped with all appliances, TV and WI-FI. There is a large bathroom with on-demand hot water. There is a large covered patio across the entire front of the apartment with an additional patio w/gas grill to the side for your use. We will permit reasonable use of the pool, rancho, washer & dryer, which are located at the main house.
There is a guarded entrance to the community, and a gate at the entrance to the property. We have provided more than ample private parking just outside the house.
The excellent location puts you a half hour to the airport and an hour drive to the Pacific beaches. There are also many wonderful attractions nearby such as the Poaz Volcano and La Paz Waterfalls where you can make a great day trip to visit and enjoy.

Year Purchased: 2009
Pete and Stef are a couple of retirees who moved to Costa Rica in 2007. We built a new home, and later built a guest house for our friends and relatives to stay when they visit. When they are not around, it does not make sense to let it sit empty.
