Looking for a quiet, yet fun getaway? This is the place to be with tons of activities and possibilities. In the winter you can ski out the front door onto Tahoe Donner Ski Area and then ski back to the house, no need to drive. Or you can go to any of the nearby ski resorts such as: Sugar Bowl, Boreal, and Squaw Valley. Have kids? They can play in the snow just outside the front door or even create a sled hill on the side of the house. Other houses are a distance away so your really all by yourself. In the summer, you can bring your boat or jet skis and visit any of the local lakes, Donner, Prosser, etc. Fishing is only a cast away at all the lakes and Truckee river.
There are many trails nearby where you can take a hike, or even go for a horseback ride. The areas hills are also famous for bike riders and people who just love to walk. For all who love to gamble, Reno is just a half hour away where there are many casinos. Many golf attractions are nearby as well. For those who are just looking for a quiet getaway, you can make a nice fire in one of the outside chimneys or in the wood stove inside.
We will do ski leases for a month or two at a time depending on availability.

We have three kids (ages 7, 9 and 12) who were getting their first snow experience and the "old school" cabin was perfect. Very roomy, nice set up for winter and ski slopes in the backyard. Our only challenge was Tahoe Donner was closed for the spring but a number of other ski resorts within 20 minute drive.Recommended for: Families with young children.

We enjoyed our stay here, its a truly ski-in-ski-out cabin. The kitchen is very well equipped. The internet connection works well which was important to us. The owner is fairly responsive typically responds within the same day.Recommended for: Families with young children, pet owners.

We just spent a lovely spring weekend skiing at Tahoe Donner making this cabin our base. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and warm. It had all the cooking items we needed. It was so great to have a washer & dryer available to warm up wet ski clothes. The location couldn't be beat! We skied in and skied out without any troubles. The owner is super nice and willing to work with us on dates. Tahoe Donner is the best place for beginning skiers. Our family had a wonderful time!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers.

We had a marvelous time in this very comfortable cabin. It's stylish with plenty of amenities and the ski in ski out feature is a huge plus. The spectacular views were amazing, and the location ideal. We look forward to coming back.Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

This place is awesome! CLEAN and modern with every ammenity, amazing views, comfortable accommodations - and truly ski-in-ski-out! (Why drive to and park at the mountain? Avoid the hassel!) What a great place! Our family had a wonderful time in this comfortable and cozy cabin. Skiing in and out turned out to be one of the great features, as well our children enjoyed playing in the open space above. Beautiful surroundings, and view. Why the Owner Chose Tahoe Donner:
This great house is located directly on the Tahoe Donner Ski Area.. We wanted an unique property that was away from other houses, allows our family to enjoy the outdoors year round. To ski we just put on our skis or snowboards and ski down to purchase the lift tickets and to return home we just ski to the house. What a great experience, no cars and anyone can go when they want or just sit out on the large deck that overlooks the ski area.
