I would like to highly recommend this great apartment. It was definitely as described. The location is excellent, it is close enough to the midtown area, yet just far enough away from the noises associated with such a busy city. The doorman were so kind and helpful in providing information such as subway locations, food suggestions, and even organising laundry. I would highly recommend sending laundry out, at .80c US per pound it is great to see everything come back clean and pressed ,a chore that can be left at home! The apartment is compact yet clever in design, in a city where space is scarce it has great sized rooms, a great & spacious bathroom, there are LCD TV’s in the lounge room & bedroom with both having independent cable TV, great for kids in the lounge room while mum & dad can escape! The local deli’s are great, there are probably six or seven within 5 minutes of the apartment, whether you prefer freshly made sushi, or a hot anything, it is at your feet. There also several take away outlets all just a few minutes of the apartment pizza, burgers, Thai, etc. Paul has also left many contacts for home delivered food choices in the apartment Soho is great place for shopping with plenty of stores offering staggering sales prices, Greenwich Village is just a few blocks away. Little Italy is great, there are so many restaurants, the best place for great Italian cakes & coffee is Ferrara Cakes at 195 Grand Street. There is also a new restaurant at 24th & 5th Avenue called Eataly it is red hot! There is a subway on 18th & 7th Avenue, or a main interchange at Union Square, both are a short walk from the apartment. Cabs are very cheap and there are plenty of them 16,000 I am told. I recommend the subway for rush hour times, the roads are slow at theses times. The views from the rooftop are fantastic, the gymnasium on the top floor is great if you are so inclined. Paul was always prompt in communications, and a great landlord. Would definately come back.

This condo is located in a fabulous part of Manhatten; Chelsea and the Flatiron Districts. It was impeccably clean and chic as the photos depict. It was cozy yet spacious. The owner provided clear guidelines on the condo's operation and great suggestions on surrounding restaurants, shops..... Perhaps the most memorable part of our stay at the Jade was Hami, the doorman who was a fount of local knowledge and a just a pleasant, helpful guy. Last but not least, Shake Shop is only a couple blocks away!

Just as pictured in the listing we arrived to our new home for 10 days to find a friendly doorman waiting to show us up to our apartment. The apartment is beautifully furnished. Comfortable lounge area with a huge TV screen, sound system and a great big lounge. The kitchen was great to have and came in useful for those times we didn't feel like eating out. Everything is practically new and state of art to cook with. The local area has plenty of fresh food outlets so getting some eggs, bread and fresh fruits was easy and convenient. There is a bottle shop directly across the road also! The bathroom was nice. There is a overhead double rain shower - very cool! The main bed is very comfortable and there are 2 ottomans that turn into singles and the lounge was great to sleep on ( according to my 18 year old) . Chelsea is a great location....many restaurants within walking distance, lots of shopping without the crowds, its a few minutes from Times square, So Ho, Midtown, and almost anywhere else you may want to go. We found it to be a great location and away from the tourist areas so that you actually feel like you are living like a New Yorker! Our fav restaurant was....Buddakan, located at the Chelsea Markets. Amazing decor , fast service and great food. Pizza in little Italy- nice. Cafeteria on 7th or 8th? - go for the buzz and nice big salads. The 2 spanish places on our street are both great. Sala & Boqueria?? Tried the Boathouse at central Park- nice views but if you cannot get in , just have a drink at the outdoor bar overlooking the lake. Strip-house steak- wanted to go - ran out of time as their Las Vegas place serves the best steak and creamed spinach! Meza Grill- a bit disappointed, for the price we paid. Blue Fin- times Square- nice lunch. For the girls...Victoria's secret- just down the road along with Juicy Couture, Zara and others. Oh and on 7th or 8th there is a cute little church thats been converted to a shopping mall of sorts- lots of small counters with their specialized items. Great gelato and pancakes. Cupcakes, fresh breads etc. The amazing rooftop is a great place to relax. Take a drink or two and just relax on the many lounges. There is also an upstairs entertaining area with huge TV , sound system, wet bar, tables and chairs for your use. The owner, Paul was easy to communicate with and very helpful. We will definately tell our friends !
