We are once again offering our extraordinary home for short and long term stays! AVAILABLE CHRISTMAS!
We are the third (and fourth) generation to enjoy this spectacular 1950's Ranch House. We offer a comfortable and inviting Ranch House suitable for a quiet romantic retreat, a family gathering or a long awaited sabbatical stay. The house has a spacious music, sitting and television room (for movies), a large light filled country kitchen, well equipped and with views to the Pacific Ocean, the kitchen opens to the magnificent dining room and living area, graced with a grand rock fireplace and couches where you can curl up with a book or gaze down the coast and back country mountains. The ranch house has 4 separate bedrooms with their en-suite bathrooms, the bed arrangement is as follows: 2 king rooms, 1 queen and a room with 2 single beds.
Outside, seemingly floating on the coast, are chairs to the view and an outdoor dining area under the old cork oak. Around the corner is the front lawn and garden, with more outdoor seating, views down the coast and mountains and space for croquet or somersaulting.
We love and treasure our home but are now traveling and exploring other towns and countries with our children. Our home is very private, organic, comfortable and quite well equipped. There is a marvelous multitude of wildlife on the ranch as well as the neighboring cows, horses, goats and chickens.
The house is, we are often told, a warm and welcoming place. Other family members have built homes on this unique 500 acre property. It is a slow drive on our well maintained ranch road or a quick 1/2 hour walk from the Ranch House down to the coast highway where you will find the world famous Big Sur Bakery, the Post Office, Ventana and Post Ranch Inns on your right or turn left to go down to Pfeiffer Beach. *****additional Photos below at home page link.*****
