Nestled in the Mohican Valley and one of Ohio’s most scenic areas, Pond Mist Cottage is a year-round heated and air-conditioned home that defines rustic elegance, comfortably furnished in true “cottage” style, and affording complete privacy on 25 acres, featuring a spring-fed pond, waterfall, woods for hiking and bird-watching, and large grassy areas for play and relaxation. The beautifully landscaped grounds of Pond Mist Cottage adjoin Dutch Hill Farm, which maintains complete equestrian facilities, with an additional 90 acres of hiking, riding, and hunting available to guests of the Cottage, who are also invited to enjoy the culinary skills of Dutch Hill Farm’s resident chef.
Located adjacent to Ohio State Route 97, Pond Mist Cottage is a scenic ten minute drive from Malabar Farm State Park and The Malabar Inn, Mohican State Park, Pleasant Hill Lake, Snow Trails Ski Resort, Ohio Dreams Sports Park, the B & O Bike Trail, access to I-71, and the villages of Loudonville and Bellville. Ten minutes longer sends you to Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, Mifflin Lake, The Johnny Appleseed Outdoor Drama, Clear Fork Lake, and the city of Mansfield. And a little farther east puts you right in the middle of Amish country, chock full of the most unique sightseeing, shopping, and dining experiences.
Fly-fishing on the Clear Fork, hunting on Dutch Hill Farm and in Mohican State Forest, sailing on Clear Fork Lake, skiing at Snow Trails, and mountain biking and horseback riding in Mohican State Park are just the highlights of outdoor activity near Pond Mist Cottage. Too numerous to mention are other area opportunities for golf, tennis, rafting, kayaking, boating, water skiing, jet skiing, biking, fishing, riding, cross country skiing, snowboarding, sledding, and tubing. And right on the premises, walking, hiking, horseback riding, swimming, paddle-boating, and dining, and just plain relaxing might fill your activity agenda anyway!
If you do find yourself inside for some reason, Pond Mist Cottage provides the following amenities:

• first-floor laundry
• 1 full bathroom, 1 luxury king bedroom, and 1 Norwalk custom queen sleeper sofa in a fully draped sleeping porch. A crib is available for a small charge. Linens and towels are provided. Just bring your clothes, food, and appetite for enjoying a well-deserved retreat.

Mary and Tom Spayde reside at Dutch Hill Farm, which adjoins the grounds of Pond Mist Cottage. Tom is a self-employed designer and Mary is a certified chef. They have lived at Dutch Hill Farm since 1994, and enjoy sharing their beautiful property with friends, family, and guests.
