This house vibes the best that St. Simons Island has to offer. Nestled under live oaks in St. Simons Park, this 4 bedroom 3 bath house easily accommodates a group of 10.
There’s a spacious master bedroom suite with a king-sized bed with two balconies overlooking the live oaks. The master suite also has a gas fireplace, a walk-in closet and a connecting study. The master bath has granite countertops with two sinks, a walk-in shower, and a whirlpool tub. The master suite also has its own thermostat. You can get away from it all in this spa-like environment.
The second bedroom, also on the second floor contains a plush queen and is surrounded by oaks. The third bedroom is a large corner room with a spectacular view of the live oaks in the park. It has two full beds and a walk-in closet. Both bedrooms share a full bath. Also upstairs is a huge game room with a large sofa, big screen television, game table and full-size futon/sofa. A laundry room is across the hall from both bedrooms.
Downstairs, there is a beautiful gourmet kitchen with two sinks, dual-fuel stove, custom cabinetry and granite countertops. The kitchen adjoins yet another large living area with a gas fireplace, big screen television (52"!), and lots of comfy seating with views of the pool. Down a short hall is yet another bedroom with a queen bed and a guest bathroom.
Gather your group for a gourmet dinner at the elegant, recycled Chinese elm dining table with seating for 12. After dinner, relax in the informal parlor or adjoining study for some quiet time.
If you enjoy dining outside, you can rotisserie a chicken or grill a steak on the Thermador gas (not propane) grill at the outdoor kitchen by the pool. You can also grab your favorite beverage from the refrigerator and wash up at the sink in this covered outdoor kitchen, which overlooks the screened-in pool.
There are lots of places to relax and enjoy your time. You won't want to leave!

Gorgeous property - large rooms, incredibly well equipped. Thanksgiving dinner on their beautiful dining table for 14 guests with plenty of room. Gourmet kitchen had it all. About the owner: I wrote and produced an audio driving tour of St. Simons Island because I find this island's history fascinating. It's a beautiful island, too, with Spanish moss hanging from the live oak trees. Larry and I live in Atlanta and we love going to this beach. Our daughters love it, too. Marianne and Larry Gardner.
Why the Owner Chose Private Homes:
This house is in a wonderful location on the island. It's close to the village and the ocean, but also surrounded by ancient live oaks. Tennis courts are a short walk away. You can watch the birds when you sit by the pool. I saw a pilated woodpecker and Larry saw a golden eagle the last time we were there. I love to walk down through the village, past the lighthouse, along the beach, and back through the neighborhoods.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
It's amazingly quiet in this neighborhood. Strolling out to the pier is always interesting.
