Welcome to Our Vacation Home!
This property has been our Family Vacation home since we built it in 1978 and we are Happy to share it with you. It has 9 bedrooms with tons of boat dockage and is minutes from the airport and down town Duval Street. This is an older home with all the character that comes with age. Floors kreak, lights flicker, things wear out due to use and age. We do our best to keep the property in great shape. However this is a small island so please dont expect a electrician to be there in 5 minutes to fix a broken light switch. It takes 2 to 3 weeks to get a trades men out for certain things. Lots of things we can do but we may not be there that week. If there is a danger to life or your personal property it would be fixed imediatly but there only being a handfuls of tradesmen on the island some things may take a little longer. Thanks for your patience in these matters. We can only our best. We hope you enjoy your stay in this very comfy family atmosphere 9 bedroom waterfront home. If you enjoy 5 star hotels where you are pampered this may not be the place for you. If you like to vacation with a bunch of friends or releatives. Grill out. Have a spot for your boat. Fish in your back yard. Than this may be your spot. All the plants were put in the ground by us, many have survived Hurricanes.

Great places to eat within a few minutes:
Bobalu’s
This very basic Key West Flavor is 1 Mile towards Key West on the right hand side of the road.
Geiger Key Marina
Follow Boca Chica Road next to Circle K down 1 ½ mile till you come to Geiger Key Road on the left. The Marina will be on your right hand side. It has a Great waterfront view, awesome fish sandwiches and Ice Cold Beer. Every Sunday they have a Fantastic afternoon Barbecue.
Other Places of Interest:
Further down Boca Chica Road is a secluded beach. Drive all the way down to the barricade, get out and walk. Great to watch the sunrise, or an early morning jog. You might find a great surprise if you go deep into the path.
There are plenty of fish to catch in the canal. The best bait is live shrimp. Bait and tackle can be purchased at the “Hitch King” which is a mile down the road towards Key West or at Murray’s Marine just over the Boca Bridge on the left.
And then there is Duval Street. The Trolley is really very interesting even if you have been here before. Always full of history and local gossip.
SECURITY DEPOSIT
To insure the return of your security:
Please wash and put away all dishes.
Remove all food from fridge and freezer.
Take all Garbage out to the dumpster located on the road towards US1.
Take the linens that are used off the beds and put in a pile by the door with the used towels. If possible, please start a load of Linens, it will save time for the cleaning company as many loads take longer to wash and dry than to clean the apartment.
If you wish to have the unit cleaned during your stay, you can contact Marie Haggerty Cleaning services are $25.00 per hour per maid.
Please be respectful of your cigarettes, do not throw in canal or in gravel.
Turn A/C’s off – Leave a few fans on.
Turn off all lights and keep 1 light on timer. Keep switch on for porch light it is on dusk to dawn timer.
PUT THE KEY BACK IN THE LOCK BOX FOR THE MAID AND NEXT TENANT.
Please do not park trailers on the property, Hitch King will store and keep your trailer locked for $10 per day. There is not enough parking on the property for cars and trailers. Don and Brenda are great there.

This is a perfect place to vacation. An easy drive to almost anywhere in the southern keys. My grand kids had a great time fishing and swimming in the canal. We all (my wife, daughter, 3 grand children, 2 baby sitters & my self) had a wonderful time, there was everything on the property we needed, could not ask for better accommodations or for a nicer place. We (the same as listed above & my son ,his wife and 2 more garnd children) will definitely be coming back in July 2013.Recommended for: People with disabilities, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children, age 55+.

Wow!! This place is huge! Its has so many rooms, bathrooms, kitchen space, and serene outdoor area. We stayed to fish the Key West Kingfish tournament and it was perfect for everyone to have their own area. My favorite place after fishing was the hot-tub then off to Duval street to hang in Key West. So close to everything and affordable. Next I think I may have a small family reunion. Great for kids and couples. From the moment we walked in downstairs, this home was a dream. With lock off apartments, each with kitchens, it is perfect for family and friends to vacation together, yet still have some privacy. the beds were comfortable and the kitchens were great...We stayed upstairs and our good friends were downstairs allowing us to prepare meals in our own kitchens but share them in a common area on the patio. The weather was chilly for the Keys but was still nice for eating outside and for a dip in the hot tub. We also caught fish right off the dock and cooked them for breakfast. We saw MANY fish and even a sea horse...I highly recommend to anyone looking for comfort, relaxation and a homey place for vacation.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.

This home over exceeded our expectations for our business team's Key West accomodation needs. We needed separate rooms to accomodate a diverse team of men, women and couples as well as common areas for meals, entertaining, social and business interactions. The house has every amenity you can imagine from private bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, household appliances & supplies, hot tub, grill, balconies, covered patios and is located on a secluded fish filled canal. It's clean, comfortable and offers an authentic Keys ambience. The location is superb and nestled in a secluded setting yet conveniently close to restaraunts, charters and Key West/Duval St. This property is very fairly priced and with all the "extras" it offered, helped us remain in budget! The property manager/owner is attentive without be intrustive to your every need, engaging and a true professional A must stay place that we will frequent again!Recommended for: People with disabilities, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, age 55+.

Our stay at the Lobster lodge was awesome. We loved the fact we could leave the boats in the water! The folks on the canal were friendly. The fishing was excellent whether we went to the Gulf side or the Reef. The lobsters were everywhere! We had a great time will be back for sure!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children, age 55+.

Great suthern home cooking. They cook your catch. They have usually over 15 southern style sides. Fried green Tamatoes, Collard greans, Creamed spinach, Mac and cheese, etc all made from scratch. Been eating there 30 years and never had a bad meal. Also have great pizza for take out if you want to do a pizza night. 1 minute from the house.

About the owner: Bob and Liz are professionals who live in the Tampa Bay area. Their mutual love for the sea brought them together, and with 6 children and 14 grandchildren combined. A place for space was just what was needed!

This property has been in our family since 1971, and so remains because of the Beautiful Florida Keys and All it has to offer, from wonderful dining, to amazing water activities which includes fishing right off the dock for dinner.

This property gives the energy of relax, and enjoy!!!! And... When is the next time we can come back and bring more friends! There is nothing better than spending a day on the water catching a few fish then bringing them back and cooking and eating with your freinds and family. That's what this place is all about. If you want to party all day and night on duval street this may not be the place for you but if you want to go fishing, diving, chill on a deserted island, and have a place to dock your boat in the back yard or have one of our charter captains pick you up in the morning from you back door. Then this is the place for you. And your still plenty close enough to party down town every night if you want.
