Kathy and Red, Dennis and I will never be able to thank you both for your hospitality and for the opportunity to stay in your cottage. Yall thought of everything and made my birthday weekend so wonderful...Our only sadness is that we did not get to say goodbye. We left out early because Lisa was sick and we needed to get back home, but we wanted to say it was a great pleasure to stay in a place where all of our needs were met and the cleanliness far exceeded anything you will ever find in a hotel. Has everything that could need to relax and enjoy the views of the surrounding mountains.Lots of things to see and do in area. Red and Kathy will make you feel like family. My husband & I planned to stay for 1 week at the oak pointe cottage to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We enjoyed our stay so much, we extended our trip 4 more nights and would have stayed the full week had it been available. We cant say enough! Kathy and Red are two wonderful,people who have designed and put together the perfect little get away for two people.. We had a fabulous time and made two new friends in Red and Kathy !!! We spent the majority of our days leaving in the morning to explore and returning late at night, taking in every beautiful mountain moment we could. The leaves were just as perfect as the cottage!!! We cant wait to return... maybe for some snow!! Thank you Red and Kathy for your wonderful hospitality. PS. We loved having our morning coffee on the front porch with the awesome view.

Our stay at Oak Point cottage was GREAT! Without a doubt it's worth much more than the price listed. We will definately be back. You can't go wrong booking this place. And the owners are truley some of the finest folks you'll ever meet. Do yourself a favor and try it just once, There are tons of things to do in Hiawassee and all the surrounding towns. Swimming, boating, fine dining, movies, music, winery's, hikeing, etc. I could go on & on.

We stayed a week at the Oak Pointe Cottage a few weeks ago. We can confirm the cottage is very well maintained and very clean. The other reviews online are right on the money. A covered area was provided for my motorcyle and a location for the trailer was available on the property. Red and Kathy are wonderful people and I don't think they could bother you even if you asked them to. We would highlty recommend this cottage for a couple's get-away. We went hiking, motocylcing, white water rafting and boating while we were there. This cottage is a perfect location for all these activities. You will not be disappointed.

We stayed three nights during the Mountain Fair and found that the cottage had everything needed for a relaxing stay. Cottage was impeccably clean and well appointed. Enjoyed conversations with Red, Kathy and Dawn at Red's Shed; they were wonderful hosts.. Considering going back for the Fall Festival. Would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing, away from the maddening crowd, accomodation.

What a pleasant surprise! The cutest little cottage and so clean with everything you need. The decorations make it feel like home! Did I say how clean it was? We enjoyed sitting on the porch and just looking at the view. Red and Kathy are the perfect host.

My wife and I stayed in Oak Pointe cottage from April 25 - 29th.The cottage itself is perfect. Red and Kathy do their best to make you feel at home. You can stay your entire visit without ever seeing them, but after meeting them that won't be the case. After only a short time you feel like you've known them for years.The cottage is perfect and Red and Kathy are just icing on the cake.It's like visiting your favorite relatives and still being able to keep your own agenda !
