We stayed at this quaint little cottage for a birthday weekend get-away. Everything was clean and was furnished with everything you could possibly need. Bring your own food or eat out (as we did). Many places close by in Hiawassee to eat. We especially enjoyed the front porch area sitting and drinking coffee in the A.M. We knew the owners through my mom so it felt like a reunion. They are there if you need them. We certainly plan to come back later in the season and hopefully stay longer. Great place for a great price! We highly recommend this place if you want peace and quiet. Thanks Red and Kathy.

Kathy and Red, Dennis and I will never be able to thank you both for your hospitality and for the opportunity to stay in your cottage. Yall thought of everything and made my birthday weekend so wonderful...Our only sadness is that we did not get to say goodbye. We left out early because Lisa was sick and we needed to get back home, but we wanted to say it was a great pleasure to stay in a place where all of our needs were met and the cleanliness far exceeded anything you will ever find in a hotel. My husband & I planned to stay for 1 week at the oak pointe cottage to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We enjoyed our stay so much, we extended our trip 4 more nights and would have stayed the full week had it been available. We cant say enough! Kathy and Red are two wonderful,people who have designed and put together the perfect little get away for two people.. We had a fabulous time and made two new friends in Red and Kathy !!! We spent the majority of our days leaving in the morning to explore and returning late at night, taking in every beautiful mountain moment we could. The leaves were just as perfect as the cottage!!! We cant wait to return... maybe for some snow!! Thank you Red and Kathy for your wonderful hospitality. PS. We loved having our morning coffee on the front porch with the awesome view.

Our stay at Oak Point cottage was GREAT! Without a doubt it's worth much more than the price listed. We will definately be back. You can't go wrong booking this place. And the owners are truley some of the finest folks you'll ever meet. Do yourself a favor and try it just once, There are tons of things to do in Hiawassee and all the surrounding towns. Swimming, boating, fine dining, movies, music, winery's, hikeing, etc. I could go on & on.

We stayed three nights during the Mountain Fair and found that the cottage had everything needed for a relaxing stay. Cottage was impeccably clean and well appointed. Enjoyed conversations with Red, Kathy and Dawn at Red's Shed; they were wonderful hosts.. Considering going back for the Fall Festival. Would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing, away from the maddening crowd, accomodation.

What a pleasant surprise! The cutest little cottage and so clean with everything you need. The decorations make it feel like home! Did I say how clean it was? We enjoyed sitting on the porch and just looking at the view. Red and Kathy are the perfect host.

We stayed a week at the Oak Pointe Cottage a few weeks ago. We can confirm the cottage is very well maintained and very clean. The other reviews online are right on the money. A covered area was provided for my motorcyle and a location for the trailer was available on the property. Red and Kathy are wonderful people and I don't think they could bother you even if you asked them to. We would highlty recommend this cottage for a couple's get-away. We went hiking, motocylcing, white water rafting and boating while we were there. This cottage is a perfect location for all these activities. You will not be disappointed.

We spent our 57th anniversary here and thought we were in heaven. Cleanest and most well appointed of the four or five vrbo places we have stayed. Owners most delightful and helpful. Has everything that could need to relax and enjoy the views of the surrounding mountains.Lots of things to see and do in area. Red and Kathy will make you feel like family. My wife and I stayed in Oak Pointe cottage from April 25 - 29th.The cottage itself is perfect. Red and Kathy do their best to make you feel at home. You can stay your entire visit without ever seeing them, but after meeting them that won't be the case. After only a short time you feel like you've known them for years.The cottage is perfect and Red and Kathy are just icing on the cake.It's like visiting your favorite relatives and still being able to keep your own agenda !

My husband and I needed to get away for a few days to relax from our very busy schedules. This is the perfect place!! The cottage is immaculate and has everything you need, even down to an umbrella on the front porch in case of rain. Our hosts were super nice! Would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone looking for peace and quiet!!

We stayed in this adorable cottage from 10/29-10-31/2010. Red and Kathy thought of everything and I mean everything.There was nothing that we need that wasn't provided for us. Even though the owners were steps away we didn't feel like our privacy was invaded. This cottage gave us the feeling of home away from home. Everyone was so kind to us, that we decided that we will make this our regular private get away. Thank you Red and Kathy for opening your home and heart to us. Love Fred and Daph.

We stayed in Red and Kathy's cottage from 10-14 to 10-19. This was the fourth or fifth time this year. We plan on staying many,many more times. We have stayed in many places over the years but this cottage surpasses everything we have seen. The pictures you see here are exactly what you get. The prices you will not find anywhere else. The cottage is spotless. You will not meet any nicer people than Red and Kathy. We feel like this is our home away from home. We would recommend this cottage to any of our friends. My husband and I have just returned back to our home after spending a few days at your adorable cottage. It is decorated so cute and is one of the cleanest places we have ever rented. We enjoyed our time in the mountains and meeting you both. It is truly a beautiful view from the front porch.

For the last four or five years, my husband and I have stayed at this cozy cottage. We have immensely enjoyed the great location and the clean, well maintained facility. The porch and the living area exude the feeling of home and comfort. We have thoroughly enjoyed Red and Cathy's hospitality and friendship. We plan to return next fall.

This house is indeed only for 1 or 2 people but for them it is perfect. I have been using vrbo since a while and so far this was the cleanest place I have ever been. It also has everything you would need, even Glad zip-bags to take your lunch on your bike trip. Owners live on premise but you don't have to worry, they will not bother you unless you ask them, too. Very nice people, can't recommend enough this place if you are looking for a quiet, nice retreat...

All those who own vacation rentals can take a lesson from Mr. & Mrs. Lambert. This place is amazing. We celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary here and enjoyed every minute. We immediately felt at home and had a very peaceful and relaxing weekend. We will definitely be back!

I have to say that this cottage was everything that was promised and more. From the timely response of the manager, to the reception that we got upon arrival, everything was perfect. For the price, you absolutely can not beat this, hands down. When you first arrive on top of Skyhawk mountain, your breathe is instantly taken away with the views of the mountains in the distance. Red and Kathy Lambert are the real deal, offering a home away from home. My wife is recovering from cancer treatments and I wanted to take her some place special for our 12th wedding anniversary and I have to tell you, it was absolute providence that led us to this beautiful place and we will be back, God willing.

I just want to comment on the great accommodations and warm hospitality that my wife and I enjoyed when we stayed at Oak Pointe Cottage. The comfort, cleanliness, and the spaciousness of this lovely cottage far exceeded our expectations! We were also fortunate to have perfect weather during our stay.
