Or you may want to go to Honeymoon Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Fred Northup runs a nonprofit organization, Athletes for a Better World and his wife Julie is a lawyer with the firm of Barrett and Farahany. When they're not in paradise, they live in Atlanta, Georgia.
Why the Owner Chose USVI - Water Island
We bought this house because we love the beauty and privacy of Water Island. Like all the Virgins, the water is perfect, and the pace of the island can't be matched. The road is one lane so most people have golf carts, and since there's no bridge there are few tourists and no crime. Some like to go to St Thomas to shop and eat; others never want to leave the view from the deck, or the pleasure of the beach. It's great for kids, since they can roam on their own, catching turtles, following iguanas, fishing or playing in the sand. Whenever we're there, we never want to leave.
The Unique Benefits of this House
Our property manager will greet you, take you to the house, and tell you all you want to know about the house and the happenings on the island during your stay. CasaBlanca boasts three large bedrooms, with a king, a queen, a futon, and twin beds. The 35' foot living area has a living area, an entertainment area, and a dining table that can seat up to 12. The house comes with the only 6 seat golf cart on Water Island, with four seats facing forward. There are books, DVDs, VCRs and games to choose from, as well as snorkel gear and fishing equipment at your disposal. The kitchen is fully equiped and ready for you, but if you don't want to cook Heidi cooks burgers, chicken sandwiches etc on the beach at noon - as well as a candle-lit dinner on Sat night on the beach. There's a deli on the island that serves pizza (and a pizza boat that comes to Honeymoon Beach most days)and has other meals ready for you - and will stock the kitchen for you on your arrival. Monday evening, people drive their golf carts down for a drive-in movie - a screen stretched between two palm trees on the beach! And Heidi, of course, with popcorn, hot dogs, and a bar! There are bingo nights, full moon night up at the Fort where everyone brings a drink to consume and an hors d'oeuvre to share and watches the sun set and the moon rise. There's nothing like the experience of Water Island!
