I stayed here in Feb for a diving trip. Fantastic Location for Diving in Puerto Morelos, Cancun and Playa Del Carmen and more. I found the staff to be helpful, yes they speak Mexican as a first language so you have to work at it... you are in Mexico !! Contrary to the other Couple I found a binder with plenty of suggestions for places to eat and visit within the local area. Some nice little eateries you would not take a second look at I found to be excellent places to eat. Nice walk along the beach to Puerto Morelos at dusk or Dawn and quiet. Slept under the stars on a few nights.... WOW what a view. Although not directly on the beach it is on a beach complex. Walk 30 yards or less and there is your beach. Also you have a shared pool that was always clean... staff do a great job of keeping the place tidy. I used Scorpio Divers as my dive buddies... All I can say is if you want to have a great dive experience give them a shout.. fun yet safe. http://scorpiodivers.com/ As I said before it is Mexico. Learn a little of the language and you will get by just fine.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children.

If you are looking for good service or a view of the beach, stay somewhere else. Our experience at Villa Corinthia and Villa Roberto was an endless string of disappointments. First of all, these villas aren't on the beach. Though you can get a view of the water if you climb a few flights of stairs, you won't see anything but another building from your living room, kitchen or deck. Secondly, if you are expecting any kind of assistance in the form of where to eat, directions to town, what to do in the area, etc - forget it. There's not an iota of information in the villa and the onsite staff don't speak enough english to assist. Finally, if you have any problems or concerns, you won't get any help from Steven. He lives in the US, is always right about everything, and doesn't care in the slightest whether you are satisified with your experience. Bottom line, select a different spot for your vacation. You'll be glad you did.
