  This is my second time to Costa Rica, and I came mainly to relax and enjoy Playa Negra and the surrounding beaches, which are all amazing and unique. I could not have asked for a more perfect setting to do so. Casa Dewey Pacifica is a casual, stylish, and elegant oceanfront mansion. The home is not only spacious and luxurious, but warm and inviting. The setting is simply paradise. You will not want to leave the premises for long, as it draws you back to it's beautiful pool and grounds, as well as the interior. I found there to be nothing missing and think this is one of the best selections for lodging in all of Costa Rica. Spectacular!

  Our stay at Casa Dewey Pacifica far surpassed any expectations we had before visiting Costa Rica. What a spectacular home! No need to even leave the premises....the open feel, gorgeous, natural furnishings and design elements, open, airy feel...and the pool! Our days were spent gazing at the ocean from the balconies, pool, or coast...walking the beach, visiting beach bars, watching the surfers, and enjoying the stunning landscapes and wildlife. We loved the food and drink at beach front Lola's, and enjoyed a spectacular spa day at Los Altos de Eros in Tamarindo. Every amenity is at your fingertips at Casa Dewey Pacifica. The property manager was readily available for questions and great suggestions for day trips/ adventures. Home was very clean, and well maintained. No complaints. We are returning as soon as possible, and have suggested this home to many friends and family. The ultimate Costa Rican experience.

  This property has everything one could wish for. Much to see and do in the area, gorgeous sunsets, surfing, swimming, snorkeling, fishing, and top notch accommodations. Relaxing in the pool area or on the decks and watching the waves and sunset – wonderful! The entire house is spacious and impeccably decorated; the owners obviously take great pride in this house.

   We are a family of 4 with two boys (5and10). We spent a wonderful week in this amazing house. Splitting times between the pool and mainly playa negra and playa avellanas. This place is so beautifully decorated that sitting anywhere inside or outside is a main part of the vacation. The house was fully equipped with everything that we could possibly need. I greatly recommend Casa Dewey Pacifica. We had an incredible time here and will be back for sure.

  This house is AMAZING!!! every amenity you could possibly ask for - wifi, tv, games, towels, coffeemaker, great dining table. All 5 bedrooms have their own bathroom, all are very private. The entire house is gorgeous, cozy and what an amazing kitchen. The pool and the backyard are to die for - in fact we never left the pool 2 of the days we were there. I cannot recommend this house enough, we will definitely be back. The photos do not do it justice because it is BETTER than the photos. Very clean, owner is super helpful. We had 5 couples in the house and never felt like we were running into each other - it felt like we were in our own house. The bottom room with the bunks can sleep 4 plus tons of room left over! Very safe, gated community - the houses next to it are amazing as well. Great for a family with kids or a big group. If you are heading to Costa Rica this is definitely the place to stay! And defintely spend a day at the pool. I also recommend lunch at the restaurant by the skate park up the street. and dinner at Deevena. lovely.

  I can't say enough about Casa Dewey Pacifica and Jarrod (the property manager). Our stay in Costa Rica was completely relaxing and stress free because of this gorgeous property. The house was set up so perfectly for our 5 couples. We each had our own rooms and space and plenty of room to relax together. The huge kitchen table was awesome to eat at and converse and play games. The pool couldn't have had a better view! That was my only complaint - it was way to hard to motivate and leave Casa Dewey to go sight see and see the local beaches. The house is a short beach walk from Playa Negra Cafe which had great food. Try the sashimi - super fresh. Jarrod was a great property manager. He set up in house massages for us that were unbelievable. He's very easy to talk to and super accomodating. The house if perfect - you will not be disappointed!

  This was our 2nd stay at Casa Dewey. Both times the experience was as good as it gets! The house was beautifully appointed, the sunsets amazing, the pool and the yard were very well maintained and the ocean setting was so peaceful. Jarrod and Meaghan were always attentive and helpful. I would recommend a vacation at Playa Negra's Casa Dewey to anyone looking for a fun-filled location with endless activities for all ages while surrounded by luxury. Excellent for the mind, body and spirit! We hope to return soon.

  We had three families stay at Casa Dewey over Thanksgiving and we all agreed we couldn't have found a better house. The two master bedroooms on the third floor overlook the ocean allowing you to fall asleep and wake up to the sound of the ocean--heck, you could hear the ocean from every room in the house. The large open floor plan of the kithchen, with the double doors that open onto the balcony overlooking the pool and ocean, made every meal we cooked special. The kids, nine, seven and six, all shared the bunk room on the main level that opened up to the pool. We also had two toddlers with us and Jarrod was able to accomadate us with a pack n play and kids toys. The house is so nice you debate leaving for the beach. And, we can't forget the beach, it's an easy walk down to the sand and a five minute walk to a sandy, kid friendly beach. If you're a surfer, it's even closer to access the main break. It was BIG on the day we left. You can't go wrong with Casa Dewey--it will for surely enhance your stay in Playa Negra. Thanks Jarrod for making us feel at home.

  We just got home from a month stay in this AMAZING house. We could not have asked for more. The house has all the amenities and has a spectacular view from every room. It is just steps from the beach and a short drive to lots of surf spots. The property manager Jarrod and his wife were so nice and available for anything we needed. I would highly recommend this house and Playa Negra to everyone

  My wife, myself and two other couples were porched a few days before our trip to Playa Negra in May of 2010 by someone offering other rentals in the area. They had double booked us and it happens. We found Jarrod, and he couldn't have been a cooler or more helpful guy. The home is worth much more than the rental price, it is beautiful and has all the amenities you could ask for. Jerrod helped us in finding good places to eat, surf, zip line and anything else that could come to mind. The worst part of the trip was finding out that we had called him at 6:30 am to help us book a tour. We thought he was in TX and it was a bit later until he stopped by the next day to help us with the gas grill. He's a good, honest guy, and the place is out of this world
