Keywords: Two story Townhouse in a small, very private nine unit complex. Private pool, beach and dock assure peacefulness and privacy. Properties near us are also private and are not commercial type large scale complexes, but smaller developments such as ours, as well as private homes. We are on the quiet more uncrowded northern shores of the island.
Our town-house style condominium is one of nine in an upscale privately owned complex. Our Cayman home is a peaceful getaway, you will find it offers privacy, and all the beauty Cayman has to offer. Oceanfront, we are just 75 feet from the sandy beach, with a private freshwater pool. Enjoy our beautiful Cayman sunsets from the thatched palm gazebo, which sits just down the steps from the pool. From our dock you have a magnificent , unobstructed view of over nine miles of coastline. The coral reef lies just 50 feet from shore where the marine life is abundant and the snorkeling is incredible. You will find some of Grand Cayman's favorite dive sites are located just off our dock.
Furnished in tropical hues and island decor ,all the rooms feature ceiling fans. The seaside walls upstairs and down are sliding glass panels which can be opened to allow the sea breeze in. Just off the living room enjoy the screened lanai. This is our favorite place to enjoy our morning coffee, the island birds and the surf are beautiful music to wake up to. Upstairs off the master bedroom you will find another screened lanai complete with hammock. Wonderful for a little afternoon reading.
Within minutes from Northern Exposure you will find diving and fishing charters, sport rentals, excellent restaurants, grocery,& liquor, store. Beautiful Rum Point, a personal favorite is minutes up the road. Take a tour of Queen Elizabeth's Botanic Park, gorgeous and again very close-by. Look for the iguanas!
We understand the significance of time and money. It is very important to us that your vacation is everything you expect it to be. Northern Exposure is our personal vacation home, and we make frequent visits. Our townhouse is inspected and licensed annually by the Cayman Islands Board of Tourism, meeting stringent standards. We have a dedicated property manager on island who assists us in assuring that you our guests, have a wonderful time and have everything you need to make your stay comfortable and carefree. We personally handle all reservations and arrangements. You will be dealing with the owner, not an independent agent.
As Northern Exposure is our second home you will find it fully furnished and well equipped. We spend a good deal of time in Cayman, so you will find all the comforts of home and more. The Master is a King size bed, with adjoining bath. The second bedroom has two twins, with a full bath off the hall. In the Living Room we have a Queen size sleeper sofa. The kitchen is well furnished with all the cookware, bake ware, serving pieces and small appliances of a home kitchen, should you choose to dine in.
Away from the congestion and traffic of Georgetown (about 35 min drive) and the Seven Mile scene, life slows down out on the North side and you get a true feel for "island living". We love the tranquility and beauty we find at Northern Exposure, our guests seem to agree, as many return year after year.

Beauty and Tranquility at the Oceans Edge on Grand Cayman
Year Purchased: 2002
Why the Owner Chose North Side
We purchased Northern Exposure after having vacationed for many years, in Grand Cayman, actually going as far back as 1988. It has always been a favorite for our family. The easy access to great snorkeling, the incomparable water, flight time from the U.S. and the kindness and welcoming nature of the local people made our decision to purchase in Cayman an easy one. We checked out many other of the islands and always kept coming back to Cayman, there was in our opinion no comparison. In choosing the North side location, that again was, hands down no contest, we knew we wanted out where it was quiet and peaceful and away from the traffic and hustle, after all that's what we all want on vacation, to just slow down and relax. That is exactly what we have at Northern Exposure, we love every minute we spend there.
Beautiful beach, great open beach/bar restaurant w/dining under the pines. Spectacular views of the coast. Our favorite places on Cayman.

Our stay here was fantastic! It was so nice to have "a place of our own" instead of staying at a hotel. This condo is on the East side of the island near Old Man Bay. It is very quiet and peaceful compared to the West end of the island where Seven Mile Beach is and all of the tourist stuff. Grand Cayman is usually known for more of a touristy, commercial type atmosphere. That certainly does exist, and it is there for those who are looking for it. Also, however, is the lesser known laidback side of the island that is much, much quieter. That is where this condo is. I have to tell you, we went to the "tourist" side for one day and could not wait to get back to "our" side of the island. There are many things to do on the East side of the island as well. It just feels more comfortable. Almost like you live there instead of just visiting. Patty really went out of her way to make us feel welcomed in the condo. It was such a relaxing atmosphere. The ability to buy groceries and have a full kitchen at your fingertips was great. Not only does it save time and money, but it allows you to have a spontaneous pick-nick or adventure by just grabbing some snacks (healthy ones) and heading out the door. One place we do recommend to eat is Over The Edge. Great food, great view, great prices. It's just down the road, too, so no need to go to the other side of the island. Rum Point is also a popular place for food and drink. I also think a must do is a visit to Stingray City. It's a sandbar that can only be reached by boat where you will get in waist deep to chest deep water and hang out with stingrays! Yep, wild stingrays swimming around you and brushing up against your leg like a cat. And not just a couple either. I would say there's about 20 or so in the area at any one time. I do recommend finding the smallest boat/group available. It makes for a much less commercialized experience. Overall, my wife and I HIGHLY recommend this place. It's not a question of will we stay here again, it's when.

Loved our stay at this beautiful property. Nothing left to chance - perfect attention to detail at every turn. A kitchen that was fully stocked with every tool needed to cook in. COMFORTABLE upscale furnishings, beds that you could actually get a great nights sleep on and plush towels, no sandpaper here! Very obvious that this condo is not "just a rental" it is a second home. The owners are fantastic, communicating everything we needed to know prior to our arrival which made the trip so much more enjoyable. The views were amazing, the location perfect for a relaxing get away and a total departure from the chaos of 7 Mile beach with all the cruise traffic. We will be back next year!

Northern Exposure was the perfect spot for our family vacation! My husband and I loved the privacy at the condo, but with a short drive we enjoyed the excitement of an evening in Georgetown and an afternoon on Seven Mile Beach (which was perfect for our teenagers!). It's really the best of both worlds! Everything about the condo was in great condition. We went in July and had the place practically to ourselves! The pool was lovely and that private dock so beautiful you'll be busy with the camera when you're not slipping in to snorkle. If you go.. WHEN you go be sure to book a trip to Sting Ray Sandbar (AWESOME!) from Rum Point. We were on a boat with 10 people (we were six of them) compared to the boats from Seven Mile Beach where more like 40 or 50 tourists were onboard. Lots of personal attention from the crew and lots of interaction with the stingrays! Big advantages to this quiet side of Grand Cayman!

We visited GC in late July. I was really interested in finding a location off the beaten path, but close enough not to feel like civilization was a day away. This place fit the desire perfectly! The condo is really comfortable.....very nice and clean. It was well appointed with all the necessary items. Towels, dishes, cookware, ice chests, etc!!! The snorkeling right off the beach is superb!! I have snorkeled all over the Bahamas and the snorkeling right off the beach was as good as I've ever seen. There are no currents to be concerned with, and we saw many interesting fish (eels, lionfish, triggerfish, cowfish, lobster, octopus, etc.) on the reef. There are great restaurants close by (LOVED TUKKA!) and there are also grocery and liquor stores close by too. My suggestions is to visit the house BEFORE you go to the grocery store. Take stock of what is there then go purchase your supplies. We left lots of "staple" items in the kitchen, and it looked like other had done the same (which is a good thing!!). :0) I just can't say enough good things about this great place. Look no further and go ahead and book this fabulous condo.

This condo and our stay exceeded our idea of paradise. The owners provided fantastic resources before we made the trip and the condo is even more beautiful and restful than the pictures can convey. Every modern comfort is at your fingertips, and the pool, water and beach are as fantastic as anywhere on the island! It's quiet and yet a short drive from spots you may want to see such as tropical Rum Point or bustling George Town. Snorkeling is fantastic in the calm clear water, but you can see much marine life from the dock, too! This spot is well worth every penny and more. We've visited Hawaii, and most of the Caribbean islands, but this was by far the best.

We stay at this condo every time we visit Grand Cayman. It's a very lovely townhouse, clean, well maintained, beautifully decorated and landscaped. It's on the quiet side of the island, away from the crowds, but centrally located on the North Side--so it's within a short driving distance to many attractions (Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park, Rum Point beach, restaurants). I like to start the day by taking a cup of coffee/breakfast down to the covered pier and watching the sunrise. On calm days the snorkeling around the pier is awesome (coral reef). World-class diving area is just a little further directly out from the shore (no need to rent a dive boat--many tank divers simply swim to the dive area). King bed is very comfortable, and the sound of surf lulls you to sleep. Pool is really nice, clean, and only about 15--20 steps away from the screened-in porch. Kitchen well stocked with dishes and cookware, so cooking meals is easy. Rum Point (beach) is just down the road about 7 miles (11.5 km), and is one of our favorite spots on the island (picnic tables, hammocks, beautiful white sand beach). There are several restaurants on the North Side -- Over the Edge and Portofino's are 2 we really enjoyed. HIGHLY recommend this condo.

This condo was everything as described by the owners, and more- more beautiful, restful, well maintained and exquisitely decorated. The owners were very informative, not only about the property and it's amenities but also nearby services, such as car rental, shopping, dining and entertainment. We found their recommendations to be "right on." They were also very attentive to our needs and questions; responding promply to our inquiries. The condo, pool and beach were very clean and well maintained and made for an unforgettable and delightful week celebrating our wedding anniiversary. We would like to add that this property is located on the quiet and peaceful north side of the island. yet convenient to Georgetown. We highly recommend this condo for a wondeful vacation in the Caymans.

We recently rented this property for our family vacation and had an amazing time! The rental provided everything that we needed and more including a few special treats like the beach and pool toys, movies which our daughter loved and lots of great amenities. The property was beautiful, very clean, well maintained and perfectly located steps away from the pool that we swam in every day and the beach which was great for our little ones who are 4 and 1 years old. We snorkeled off the pier and saw some of the most beautiful coral and fish. We loved staying away from the crowds of Georgetown and being at the north side of the island but still minutes away from great restuarants with great fresh fish and our favorite beach at Rum Point. We spent a few perfect beach days there, ate dinner and hopped aboard the Spirit of Poseidon and headed to Stingray City. We rented a car and had a great time driving around and exploring the island. The owners were very helpful in assisting us with what we needed for our youngest and provided a wealth of information to help make our vacation perfect. We highly recommend this rental property to anyone planning a trip to Grand Cayman. You will not be disappointed!
