Charming Glen Ellen wine country home in beautiful serene setting. Exactly 2 miles from the center of Glen Ellen with its great restaurants, GREAT full service supermarket and old timey small town charm. Dozens of wineries within a 20-30 minute radius. Great biking area.
4 bedrooms and 2 baths. Tastefully and fully furnished as a vacation rental. Lots of outside private space. The house has a solar energy system that is connected to the PG &E grid which keeps utility costs down. Fireplace with wood burning insert with glass door and fan.
Charming home and surroundings with nice views.
There is a 40 ft pool that has a solar heat system. The solar pool system is normally turned off until the end of March to avoid possible freeze damage. There are often good days to swim in March but the pool water is not as warm.
This house rents as a vacation rental for $495/night and $2500/week. It has been rented every night from May through October. We would like to take a break for 6 months or so and rent it longer term at a very reduced rate. Would prefer the entire 6 month period but open to negotiation.
$2495/month rent plus utilities. $1,000 deposit.
Dogs welcome with information and pet deposit.

Why the Owner Chose Glen Ellen
We bought our Glen Ellen property in 1993 to have a getaway for our children during the freezing San Francisco summers. It is a perfect distance from San Francisco, since it's only an hour away, but in a totally different world. We have made many improvements to the house since we bought it, but think that is has maintained it's "cottage" charm. It is a rural setting but with sophisticated wineries and restaurants close by.
The Unique Benefits of this House
We put in the pool in 1999, and it has proved to be well worth it. One can sit by the pool and look at Sonoma Mountain and watch the red tailed hawks overhead. We love eating in Glen Ellen, or Sonoma. Sometimes we even go over the mountain to the Napa Valley for events. The cycling is fantastic in the area.
