Try tubing on top of the mountain. Bring your own boat or rent one. The homeowners dock is five minutes away. Nearby there are plenty of good restaurants, sightseeing and Funland for the kids.

My husband being a ski bum from New England and myself a transplanted Norwegian it was not hard to convince us to buy a second home in the mountainous Western Maryland area of Deep Creek Lake. We ski, hike, bike and enjoy the cool and pieceful air at our condo.
