Visitors to New Orleans truly enjoy the experience of staying in an historic property. Our French Creole cottage was built in 1830 by the original owner, Antoine Alciatore, remembered by locals and tourists alike for his world renowned Antoine’s Restaurant.
This suite has a private bath and is furnished with a charming eclectic mix of antiques and collectables. “Lagniappe” meaning a little something extra, is what you will experience at our home, from the inviting Jacuzzi on the lovely deck surrounded by sub tropical gardens, all recently added by us your enthusiastic hosts.
Guests may relax in our French Quarter area retreat or stroll to see Jackson Square’s street performers and artists. Famous restaurants, jazz clubs, antique shops, galleries and much more are just a few blocks away. A scenic riverfront streetcar ride will take you to the convention center and the Riverwalk Shopping Mall. Magazine Street, popular for its antique stores is just a short ride away.
We are both licensed tour guides and we love to share our knowledge of New Orleans with our guest. Don is also a native of New Orleans. We serve a continental breakfast each morning (at your leisure) in the formal dining room or on the outside patio deck. Snacks are displayed all day long.
Complimentary high speed wireless internet is throughout our home. Staying in our private home is an experience which is totally family oriented. You may keep your room as neat as you wish, there is no daily housekeeping, always extra towels upon request. Rooms are for registered guests only.
We invite families with children that cannot be left alone to stay with us. Our pets are three adorable dachshunds and many birds. Our smoking guests are invited to do so in our outside areas.

- On site owners/host are natives and award winning tour guides for the city of New Orleans. Both hosts are former kings of Mardi Gras and active in the rebuilding after our visit from "Hurricane Katrina", Kitchen is fully stocked, however city codes do not allow guest to use the stove or oven, but, the microwave is available 24/7, Catering available with ample notice.
