Year Purchased: 1994
I custom built this beautiful home in 1994 and my wife and I have enjoyed many fun memories with family and friends in this secluded paradise. It is on a private lane just off the beaten path.
Being home is like getting away from it all while still being within about 20 minutes of so many fantastic things… skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, hiking, biking, fishing, shopping, restaurants of many varieties, sports events, etc. The home is open and roomy, with lots of space to relax and play. It’s appealing to be in the great room –kitchen – dining area on the main level at any time because of its layout and character. One of our favorite things to do in any season is hang out on the covered back deck, which can be accessed from the kitchen or the master bedroom. We love to grill and dine and soak up the warmth of the private hot tub built into the deck. The back yard is beautifully landscaped with manicured grass, large enough for volleyball. There is also a lighted horseshoe pit so we can challenge friends to a competition after dark!
Our 4 boys are out of the nest now but we have all tremendously enjoyed the family game room – bar area – pool table – big screen TV on the lower level. The best way to describe this place is FUN. It’s amazing to come home after a day of playing in the snow and light a crackling fire and watch a movie or play pool and have drinks and snacks at the bar.
This is a great location for a winter "ski" house and a Summer "hiking/biking" house. You cannot beat the convenience of flying into Salt Lake City International airport and being at our house in about 30 minutes. There are a number of fabulous ski resorts within easy driving distance or a quick bus ride. The Summer hiking and biking is unmatched in our opinion.
Now that we are onto other adventures with downsizing and job relocation, this home will be OUR vacation getaway as well as yours. We know you’ll enjoy it as much as we have!
