  This is a wonderful home with very helpful and attentive owners. Three generations of our family stayed and visited here during the holiday week, and the house is designed with perfect sitting and eating areas so that everyone felt comfortable. Plenty of nooks and crannies so everyone had a place to read, relax, watch tv, or take a swim without feeling like we were on top of each other. Even the newest family member had a nice sunroom for her toys and pack and play. The home was very clean and well-maintained, and the owners made sure there were plenty of linens, kitchen tools, spices, and condiments on hand so we did not have to restock the basics during our stay. Everything we needed was available or made available to us without any problems. An added bonus for this property is the proximity to the beach and to town (including the Hotel Del). Easy walking distance to all - even pushing a baby stroller. The beach was great for our kids/family - even in November everyone was able to get out and enjoy walking on the beach or building sandcastles. The part of the beach closest to the house has a great view of the lighthouse at Cabrillo Point in one direction and the Hotel Del in the other. We rented bikes for a few days and were able to get all around the island just fine thanks to plentiful bike paths and bike lanes - and the ride itself is beautiful and very relaxing. Overall our family had nothing but positive comments about the house, the owners, and our stay. Coronado is a wonderful place with beautiful beaches and plenty to do. Thanks again for a memorable holiday.

  This is an amazing home! We were not sure how 3 generations would survive together, however the homes amenities and the owners attentiveness made it all possible. We rented the home to be closer to the place our daughter was getting married. The kitchen is big enough and so well stocked it had every spice, a nice size frig, coffee, etc. and was big enough for 3 moms to cook. Grill was great for the dads to BBQ on. Pool and the kids room kept the 1 1/2 and 4 1/2 year old so busy they fell asleep immediately. Ray and Carolyn have thought of every detail including LOTs of towels, bath towels, soap, to keep your packing to a minimum. The weather in CA has been unseasonably warm and thus the house does not have A/C so the fans and french doors (which was safe enough to leave open at night) were handy and welcomed. Ray and Carolyn were nearby and so helpful from moving two twins into very comfortable king to setting up a crib, to providing multiple ice chests to help with the wedding needs. The covered patio was so lovely we ate dinner there every night. The place is big enough to find a place for great grandma to find solice form the sounds of little ones and the washer and dryer was a welcomed relief after beach day, little ones needs, etc. Carolyn was so kind to let us know they found our grandson's snuggly and even mailed it back to us. Security check came just as promised. Can't wait to return for a real vacation without all the busy details of a wedding!

  This was our first stay at this home. The neighborhood was lovely, quiet and we felt safe (an important criteria for us). The house was as described. It was tastefully decorated and comfortable. We all enjoyed the heated swimming pool especially the 4 and 7 year old kids. The playroom was also a big plus for the kids. We found it very convenient to get to local San Diego & Coronado attractions. Ray and Carolyn were cordial hosts. We also appreciated having so many linens including beach towels available. The kitchen was well equipped. We had a wonderful week there. Would love to go back again.

  Our family picked this home for many reasons. Heated pool, playroom and large kitchen. All the rooms were large including bedrooms. My granddaughters (ages 2 & 4) thoroughly enjoyed the pool and the playroom which seemed like it was set up just for them. The living room was large enough for all the adults (6) plus room for more. We invited some friends and relatives for dinner one night and the dinning room table and outdoor table accommodated all our needs. The home is filled with beautiful artwork and antiques which gave a very nice atmosphere. We would definately stay there again. Maybe even with adult friends next time.

  This well-maintained character home has everything you could want for a perfect multi-generational family get-away! The house and the grounds were more spacious than we had anticipated. There were so many thoughful touches, well beyond a well-stocked kitchen or linen cupboard! It was so nice to enter a home with fresh flowers, and to not have to buy bottles of oil, vinegar, condiments, coffee filters, etc. The pool was absolutely lovely and enjoyed by both lap swimmers and those who just wanted to play (and there were plenty of pool toys). The five year old wants everyone to know that there were lots of trains, more than just Thomas, and that the doll house, puzzles, games, books, blocks and all the other toys in his own special room were just great! The beds were very comfortable and Ray went out of his way to set up a second King bed for us (not easy to find in San Diego!). We consistently found street parking for our two vehicles directly in front of the house. The house was an easy stroll to the beach, to the beautiful Hotel Del Coronado, Vons and the shops of Orange St, while still being a peaceful oasis. We did find it easier to drive to our favourite restaurant, Sapori, but two of our party were mobility challenged. Any questions we had were promptly addressed by Ray, who was attentive but also invisible, as the perfect host. If we are ever fortunate enough to return to San Diego, we shall be contacting Ray and hoping that none of his other repeat guests beat us to the house!

  Ray and his wife are excellent hosts and this house was perfect for two families w/ kids. We loved the pool and hot tub and also the play room for the kids, who were more than happy to spend hours in there playing on their own. The house is very well stocked (especially the kitchen and bathrooms) with nothing missing that we would want or need. It's also on a nice part of the island - about a 10 minute walk to the beach and another 10-15 minutes to the main part of Orange Avenue.

  My wife and 3 kids (age 2-6) stayed for a week and loved it. The playroom provided hours of entertainment and the heated pool/spa did the same. Very clean and well appointed home, just a few blocks to a beautiful beach with a park. Perfect. Thanks Ray.

  My extended family stayed in this lovely home in September 2009. It was an unseasonably hot week, and this home doesn't have AC, so it's the only reason I don't give it 5 stars. I could not have asked for a better equipped home having a toddler - there is literally everything you need to keep your little one entertained, to swim in a lovely pool, to cook and serve anything you want, walk to the beach any time of day in just a few minutes and enjoy a nice family dinner outside. We loved staying there, but will shoot for early summer next time we go so we can avoid a heat wave!

  Our family has stayed at this beautiful home on four different vacations. We have always had a wonderful time and have had other family members or friends join us. The house is in excellent condition and has everything you need. The pool is always a big favorite with everyone. The location of the house makes it within walking distance to everything, including the beach and the shops and restaurants on Orange Avenue. The owners are always available when needed and are very friendly and accommodating. The fact that we have come back again and again speaks highly of this great property. We would recommend it to anyone.
