My husband and I, our five year old daughter and my parents just returned from a fabulous week at Villa Roca Loro. The trip met and exceeded our expectations on every front. This villa is built into the hillside and even incorporates some of the rock face into the architecture. Everywhere I turned, I was met with another outstanding view. And just when I thought I had chosen a favourite, I would turn another corner, and there in front of me would be another spectacular and endless ocean view. The three bedroom suites are in reality bigger, if possible, than they appear in the photos. They are exquisitely furnished and decorated, clearly by someone with an eye for detail. The beds are very comfortable, the bathrooms are beautiful and spacious, and once again, the views from the rooms are breathtaking. And as hard as it is to leave the air-conditioned oasis’s of the suites, when you do, the pool area is where you will likely spend most of your time. The pool is perfect, but it was the infinity hot tub that stole my heart. And if I was forced to choose, I would ultimately say the view from the hot tub was my favourite. Each day, sitting poolside, we enjoyed margaritas and fresh guacamole and salsa, made for us by Miguel - one of the staff members at Villa Roca Loro. We also had two wonderful meals a day prepared for us, allowing us to sit back and truly enjoy this much anticipated holiday. The staff was incredibly personable and professional and made our stay perfect. From the Villa, it is a ten minute walk down a cobblestone hill to the town of Mismaloya, and Mismaloya beach. The town is quaint and authentic, and is home to some excellent little restaurants and, somewhat strangely, a fantastic zoo. Also at the bottom of the hill is the Barcelo Puerto Vallarta Resort where we had some of our friends staying. We purchased a day pass, ($50 a person), to have use of the resort facilities, restaurants, drinks, etc. Though it doesn’t compare to the villa, it was fun day to throw into the mix. The Villa was perfect for our family!! It was everything as shown on VRBO and then some!! We will definitely be back in the future!! Want to also say that home owners were great to deal with and responded very quickly to all of my many queries!! Thanks!! (One note for parents with toddler age children: due to the way this home is built into a hillside to maximize views, there are some steep drop-offs and ledges that you would want to be cautious of.)

anybody that is afraid to be dissopointed by renting this villa ,please don't . this place is amazing and is actually much better then i expected . I went there in august 2011 for one week and was very sad to leave. The property is huge and every room is a separete suit with privite entry. There are 3 amazingly huge suits ,each with it's own bathroom ( no tub ) just big showers . But who needs a tub when you got your own privite infinity jaccuzi. The views are exellent from every suit . The staff ( Meguel and Maria ) are very polite and helpfull . Which also take very good care of the villa , also great cook. If you looking for a luxury vocation (for romance or family) this is the place .The beach is about 10 min walk down the hill and the water was almost hot . They have all kind of activities , rent a jetski ( $50 half an hour) ,rent a boat ( $50 an hour) which takes you to the rock formation and they let you dive there with a bunch of tropical fish. Also there is a zoo right down the road about 20 min walk from the villa ,which also was very interesting activity ( $10 a person) .In the villa there is an iguana that comes out to tan on the sun daily by the pool area. Which aslo eccepts treats.Everything works in the villa ( air conditioner, lights .hot /cold water ) i had no problems there ,everything was clean ,beautifull and peacefull . I loved it and had the best vocation ever at Puerto Vallarta. .

Absolutely LOVED this house! Everything in the villa was above and beyond my expectations. The house was beautifully decorated with state of the art entertainment centers in EVERY bedroom. Each bedroom was very spacious (bigger than most apartments!) and the architecture was awesome. The pictures do not do this property justice and the views are breathtaking. Every spot you looked out of you are guaranteed an awesome view. The pool with the fountain and the infiniti jacuzzi were the icing on the cake. The kids and adults spent all day and all night enjoying the pool and the sun. The property was so heavenly that we only left the property ONCE!! The villa was always kept very clean and maintained and Ana and Miguel were very obliging to whatever we asked or needed. You must try Ana's chiles rellenos and huachinango, DELISH! They did a great job of always being on hand but never intrusive. The property owner was great and prompt at answering any questions I had regarding the reservation and by the time we got home, our security deposit was already in the mail! I would definitely recommend this property to friends and family. Am looking forward to coming back again next year for another great, relaxing stay.

Our eight days at Roca Loro were a very pleasant experience. Ana and Miguel are friendly and provide excellent service. Views are outstanding. All kinds of activities available at the bottom of the hill. Would recommend to a friend and plan on returning next year.
