My husband and I stayed four nights in Bob's cozy studio. When we arrived he was very attentive making sure we would be comfortable and sharing all that we needed to know about his property and the surrounding area. On the dining table was a large bowl of fresh fruit and a bottle of wine which both were thoroughly enjoyed over our visit. There was breakfast food in the refrigerator and coffee which gave us a good start the next morning. Our first night there was cool,so we got to use the gas fireplace which was a treat coming from Florida in August! Thereafter, we enjoyed several evenings sitting outside sipping wine and gazing out at the shadowy mountains in the moonlight. Bob also provided a folder full of information about the area, and gave us tips on restaurants, surrounding towns, and our main objective visiting the Yosemite Natioanl Park. He was very helpful throughout our time there by providing us window cleaner/cloth to wash car windows one day, and on our last morning offered the use of his washer and dryer, North Fork was a beautiful area and the Yosemite an outstanding wonder! Bob's studio was just a wonderful place to come back to each evening to relax and comtemplate each days trip. We look forward to coming back to this area some day, and we would definitely stay here again. Thanks Bob for helping to make this part of a fantastic vacation in California!!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights and we both agree it was the perfect choice. Bob has put together a comfortable home away from home. It's easy to see his commitment to quality and attention to detail in the construction of this studio apartment. Yosemite is a short, relaxing drive away making this the perfect base camp for visits to the park. Other attractions like Bass Lake are also nearby. Bob is the perfect host--even though we had not met before this visit, we felt like we were staying with a long-time family friend. I have no hesitation giving this retreat my highest recommendation. You will not be disappointed!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We can not say enough about this vacation rental. It was everything it was pictured to be and more. This rental was recommended to us and it definitely met our expectations. It was very clean and had all the amenities. We had everything we needed for a great vacation....Bob, the owner, had the loft stocked with all those little things you need but you don't want to bring/or you forget....like plastic wrap and sweeteners and more. We traveled to Yosemite each day about a 35 to 45 minute drive to the entrance. Each day we arrived home exhausted, so it was nice to have such a great place to sit outside and enjoy the view and relax. We definitely would like to come back for another stay and have some other site seeing on our list such as Bass Lake(which we found was very close!) and other places we found in the great info packet Bob had assembled.Did you find this review helpful? This was a perfect place for our week visiting Yosemite. Comfortable with all needs met. Did a lot of driving and returned "home" each day to a very relaxing place. Bob was available for giving advice and asking if we needed anything...kind of unusual and special treatment for vacation renters. Thanks, Bob!Did you find this review helpful? My Husband and I stayed at this home away from home cottage and enjoyed every moment in it. The kitchen is stocked with all cooking needs and essential, plus there is a grocierey store less than 5 minutes away. It was Very clean which is a HUGE consideration when picking a vacation stay. The property owner, Bob, Had not only wine for us to pick from but fruit and a very considerate "Happy Anniversary" card when we arrived. Payment was fast and easy. The decore was tasteful and not overwhelming. Yosemite is only 30min away and the stars were breath taking at the cottage with a BBQ and fireplace for cooking or roasting marshmallows. Everything stated for this rental is on point. I loved this property so much. My husband and I were set with netflix, print outs of trails, resturants and attraction in the cottage. Bob has a IPOD dock in room and a beautiful view of the sierra mountains right out front of your door. We had many adventures out in yosemite but the nicest part of the trip was knowing we got to come back to that cottage when all the hiking, mountain biking, trails, waterfalls, bugs, animals, and driving was done. I would give this property a 10 if I could.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

My wife and I had the opportunity to rent this wonderful place for Thanksgiving and we have a wonderful time. It is nestled in a very quite area and has a big open space around. We reached in the afternoon and had some high quality time in the yard sipping wine on the picnic tables and watching the birds - was a little chilly, but I enjoy that. The view was gorgeous. The suite is quite big, with a nice fireplace, kitchen, bed and bath area. Its about an hour from the Yosemite National park, but we did commute the distance twice. Is gets eerily quite at night - which we enjoyed. Thanks RyanDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

So much better then a hotel stay, the fine touches in this studio really make the place feel like home. Bob did a wonderful job when he designed and built this place to share with us travelers. The location is wonderful, the surroundings are peaceful, and the host is one the best. We had such a wonderful time that I expect we will return sometime soon. I definitely would recommend this place to everyone!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This place has the WOW factor. The house is stunning and the studio was perfect for our 4 night stay. Bob has provided everything you need for a short or long term stay. The view from the balcony is spectacular, the lounge area and pool was a great spot to relax and sip a cocktail. My husband and I went to Yosemite twice. One day to Glacier Pt. and to hike Sentinal Dome, the other to hike Vernal Falls...This hike was pretty strenuous, and I thought I was in good shape..Bob took us to Angel Falls on our last day. It was the perfect spot to have some down time. Bobs place in North Fork is a !0 out of !0.. I am planning our next adventure, it may be Utah or we just might explore northern California...Bob we will be back....Thanks so much..Stephanie and Tom....Ontario...CanadaDid you find this review helpful? Owner info
About the owner: Come up and enjoy the lakes and the majestic scenery of Sierra's! I've been coming up enjoying the Yosemite/Bass Lake area for over 20 years to escape the hustle & bustle of the suburbs and city life. This area has much to offer in outdoor activities, with breathtaking vistas around every corner. You can stay as busy as you like or relax as much as you need, this area has it all!
Why the Owner Chose North Fork:
I chose this area over 20 years ago when I purchased the 7 acres the new home sits on. The area has not changed much in the last 20 years and I'm sure it hasn't changed much from many years prior to that. This area is truly like taking a step back in time. The towns motto is "Above the fog, below the snow" although we usually get 5-7 inches of snow several times each winter, just perfect! The area truly has our four very distinct seasons, each one offering something new and wonderful....13 minutes to the Pines Resort at Bass Lake and less than an hour to Yosemite National Park. The start of the world famous "Sierra Vista Scenic Byway" is less than 5 minutes away with numerous other sights and activity's to see and enjoy close by.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
This centrally located getaway is minutes from a well stocked neighborhood market and deli. There is a great Pizza Place just down the road in town with the local favorite Mexican Restaurant "La Cabana" only minutes away. The Mono Indian Museum is on the outskirts of town and shouldn't be missed. The distant high country views from the home are as relaxing as they are magnificent.
