This beautifully furnished home is near the Seabastian Ocean Inlet and on the intracoastal waterway with a dock, deep water, and near beaches and spoil islands for picnics. On the Indian River, this tropical paradise is a boat access only private island with porpoises in front of your porch!! Located between Melbourne and Vero Beach, Florida, it is 500 yards from US Hwy 1, across from the Grant City Dock, but a world away, with no cars on the island. Access and parking for your car and boat trailer is from the mainland via our private dock and parking lot on US Hwy 1 with a nearby Brevard County park and boat launch ramp. Nearby restaurants, grocery stores, shopping, fishing: You are a world away but close to it all!

This home is comfortably decorated with "Island decor." You will enjoy down pillows, a cook's kitchen with R/O watermaker, ice maker, satellite TV and the safety of FPL power from the mainland, a full laundry, water softener, local phone and local internet dial up, large shaded porch and deck with hammock and adjacent summer kitchen and stainless BBQ grill. This cottage is a fully furnished vacation retreat.

Enjoy exploring the island, swimming, boating, fishing, picnicing on nearby deserted islands or the beach, local Spanish treasure wreck museums. Near Pelican National Wildlife Refuge, see gorgeous sunsets facing west across the intracoastal waterway. Bring your own boat (lift on one part of the dock will handle up to approx 26 foot boat) or, if you have no boat, an outboard boat with a 4 stroke engine is available, at no charge if you (or at least one another adult in your party) are an experienced boater. Certain pets may be allowed. Local boat and jet ski rentals are available. Relax, restore, totally rest or join locals at the weekend inlet "Sandbar" to hangout. A boat lift is at the dock for use with longer rentals.

Historic Downtown Melbourne and its antiques shops and bistros, Sebastian and Vero shopping, fresh seafood and gourmet restaurants are nearby. Where else can you have the privacy of an Island retreat? Available for weekly, monthly, or longer seasonal rental.
