We stayed here for 5 days in Sept 2010. The house was as described and everything went smoothly, the owners communicated very well and were very easy to get along with. This is an old house that makes you feel very comfortable very quickly. We were a family of 4 adults and 2 teenagers and had plenty of room and everything we could need for our stay. If you like old world charm and comfort this is an excellent house and is great value for money, however, if you have a desire for everything to be shiny and new and modern you may find it better to spend more money and stay in a new condo or apartment. We had a rented car and had no trouble with finding or accessing the property and even though it is only a few houses from Granville Street there was almost no traffic noise to be heard. Access to everywhere is extremely convenient, the bus was 100metres away and the train was 3 minutes by car at the Oakridge Mall where there is everything you may need available including doctors and cinemas and everything in between. There is a small backyard that children would enjoy but you would need to supervise them getting there if they were very small, to access it you need to go out and around the side of the house near the busy street but it is well fenced and secured for them once inside.The property was very clean, the beds and lounges very comfortable, the kitchen was reasonably equipped for basic cooking of all meals and had plenty of room. The internet connection was very slow but easy to connect to via wireless connection and available all over the house. We would definitely recommend staying here for a family or group of up to 6. There is bedding for 6 and a sofa bed as well if needed but sitting and eating was most comfortable for up to 6 adults. Access from the airport was easy via the Skytrain and would be a very short taxi ride from Oakridge Station to the house even if you have a lot luggage. Thank you to Sylvie and Yuki for helping us to have an extremely comfortable and enjoyable time in Vancouver at a very affordable price.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children, tourists without a car.
